• Forgewood is a hellhole, but great to get things on the cheap(plenty of junkies). great fishin in the calder, a gully in which i had many mad times down. and loads of characters as well as the usual neds at the shops.
• theres a mad pice of modern art in the precinct thats never noticed! a football cup, made of patio stones to commemorate the 1991 cup win! yay!

• If you have to stay in Motherwell make sure you dont stay in the Bates Motel or the Bently as it is called, dont't dry the local drink Buckfast, and most importantly if you are a single guy don't cruise strathy park without a cork in your prosterior
• County bingo and Social club. Only Bingo hall in Motherwell. Not just for pensioners, a good mix of all ages, especially at weekends. Friendly, helpful staff. Good cheap food and drink. You might even win some money.
• The shop on the corner of Station Road, Burnbrae Road and Main Street, Stane that sells every gadget and gizmo you'd never need
