• The Blackbirds (now The Blanney Stone), The Three Barrels now Finbar, we have loads of pubs in Neasden as thats the only big business that can make a profit - Angie, The Galway Hooker, Outside Inn, Finnagans Wake and Charlies (now called something else!!)
• Galway Hooker and Finigans Wake are ok. Both Angies and Three Barrells have recently had refits. Angies is now called Zoo Bar and now looks far more modern, though the regulars are still the same, have been once and it was fine. Three Barrells is now Finbar and is still full rubbish - the doorman is now armed with a metal detector - says it all.
• OX and gate Old spotted dog blackbirds
• All the pubs in Neasden are nasty, but if desperate check out the Outside Inn and a short bus ride away, the Ox and Gate
• I would not be seen dead in a Neasden pub. Frightening, uncool, cr*p.
• For a very small high street there are about 6 pubs in Neasden, ranging from abissmal to average. The Three Barrels is a pit, allegedly there was a knife fight there the first night it opened. The Galway Hooker and Finnigan's Wake aren't too bad, and there is a J.D. Wetherspoon style of pub which aren't bad for a quick lunch and a pint. There is also a pub at the top of the street near St. Catherines church which used to be a restaurant and wine bar, but now looks awful.
