- travellers its a pub and theres a band there on a thursday night
- Gwyn hall with all the NEATH PORT TALBOT LEISURE CREW.(They are the ones with the yellow T-Shirts).My sister being one of them. There are normally good rock and goth bands here. The place for plays to along with Neath Little Theatre.

- well i am happy to say that neath just like the old days has a great live music venue. scholars has live music on a thursday evening, and most importantly a sunday afternoon. bands from all walks of music are appearing there every week.
and to make things even better, it looks like the old school of rock lovers are starting to notice this great venue.

- 'Party In The Park' at Singleton, Swansea - used to be the Heineken festival - usually good bands, such as the Manics, All Saints etc... takes place in August.
- Many of the smaller "older" pubs still have solo performers: The Cam (in the Melin) and Neath Working Mans Club (get someone to sign you in - if you must) - are prime examples. Load dance music can be found in practically all the city centre pubs. For proper bands, your only choice is The Duke, or The Duske of Wellington (to give it's proper title). The Duke is a Hard-core "rocker's" pub of the old school that has sadly fallen on hard times (all the rockers have gone off to have children etc.). It still manages, however, to be the only pub in the town centre to give local bands a chance - it rocks and it has integrity. The Gwyn hall also has bands (occasionaly).
