- I'm sure there are more popular places for bands to play.
- Darcy's on the Corner of Marine Prom and Rowson St has bands regularly it's not listed in Buz. Disgustingly hot in there though. There are open mic sessions on Tuesdays at the Pilot Boat, Magazine Brow and at the Playas Lounge, Marine Promenade next to Darcy's, from 11pm onwards; Wednesdays The Ship, Victoria Parade New Brighton; Irish sessions Wednesday at The Albion, Albion Road; Folk night Thursday at The Magazine. The Railway, Victoria Rd New Brighton has some good nights and Jazz sometimes; and opposite, the Perch Rock is open for music every night except Thursday in the back room - bring an instrument, have a go or jam along, sometimes it's awful, sometimes it's good, though usually it's Pongo Pete. Partial local music listings are at buz.co.uk. Floral Pavilion does bigger-ticket showbiz sort of acts.

- What music venues? Hello welcome to the past should be on signs as you enter New Brighton. Come on Wirral Borough Council, get off your lazy backside and put it back on the map. Give the new talent a chance!!!
- The Hotel Vic on Albion street sometimes has some good bands on a Wednesday. Other than that most pubs do a cracking karaoke
