• Stanley's Cask used to be the best pub locally, but it's gone right down the pan since they opened it out and took away all the dark little corners (and the sticky carpets); just looks like every other characterless alehouse now :(
• Don't make me laugh, you can't afford to dress yourselves let alone buy a pint.
• The Clarence Hotel, Victoria Rd, has top class real ale, always.
• update on "stanno" ex stanleyc cask himself he is just about to move out of wallasey for pastures new and enjoys his twilight years golfing although thats all he has done all his life!!!
• The fantastic stanley's cask!!! many a cheerful night spent here over the years. great boozer. Stanno sold in on recently tho. i live away from the area so I don't know what its gonna change into. also, 'new' stannos on seaview road. a more upmarket of the cask- better pint me reckons.
• The Redcaps has a cheap doubles bar (£2.10 for a double Tia Maria). It's a bit of a local, but they're friendly enough.
• Lots of pubs. The Magazines is nice on (funnily enough) Magazine Road with a lovely beer garden. A favourite is Peggy's on Victoria Road..(but watch out on a wednesday for those Private Parties!!!)Also try Stanley's Cask on Rake Lane for some mad mullets and better beer.
