Record Shops
- Nowhere in Newcastle at all, except the charity shops which rarely have anything of interest to me. If you live in Newcastle and drive you might want to go up to Leek as there's a reasonable record store there which has CDs and some used vinyl LP's and 12" singles. There's also an okay (for this area!) market stall in Newport (Shropshire) which has LP's and 12" singles, as well as CDs and used CD singles - mostly 90's pop stuff. Apart from that best go to Manchester or Birmingham for anything old school.
- Music Zone is the only place. Use the internet or go to Manchester cos there`s nothing in Stoke or Crewe either(2/2006)
- Music Zone has some good deals on cd's, dvd's, videos, and even books!
- Cheeky Monkey Music is a nice place next to Thourntons :-)
- cheap shop down the new castlewalk
- Outlaw is brilliant!! They do loads of second hand CDs and tapes! Opposite where Mike Lloyds used to be
- Don't buy CDs in Woolies, they store them badly. I have bought CD's there and had to return them as they were so badly scratched they wouldn't play at all!
- Mike Lloyds closed last year, but a cool new record shop has opened near A Major last week.
- new place down by poundstrecher, hav a search
- Woolworths are the best for music, video and computer games in the town. There staff are also ACE.
- MIke Lloyds- a bit like Woolworths, but it has a special section of rare 2 for a tenner CDs.
- HMV in Hanley
- Mike LLoyds, and loads in Hanley.
