- bubbles ashington have live bands on most nights, but a decent recorded music selection othertimes..small and cosy.but the toilets are intimate to say the least, but cleaner than they used to be!run by a muso.
- For Indie clubs in Newcastle, STONELOVE at DIGITAL every Thursday is the best with 4 rooms of kick ass indie music and cool upcoming bands in Room 3 more info at www.STONELOVE.com. BULLETPROOF every Saturday at the Massive CARLING ACADEMY on Westgate Road is also really cool with the DJ playing all the tracks of DVDs mixed with BP Graphics... really cool stuff. See: www.BULLETPROOF.dj
- DIGITAL in times Square, Newcastle is by far the Cities (if not the Norths) best nightclub, said to have the UKs best Soundsystem and some of the best DJs in the World regularly dropping in. A Music fans venue with something for most people throughout the week. LOVEDOUGH(RnB) Every Tuesday // STONELOVE (Indie) Every Thursday, WAX:ON (Brakes), TURBULANCE (DnB), EVOLVE (Trance Hard House) RETRO (Classics) all Monthly on a Friday and SHINDIG (Deep House) every Saturday. www.YourFutureIsDIGITAL.com
- lEGENDS!!!! legends rock club is awesome! on Fridays they have cage dancers nd rock nd metal music at the main stage then dance stuff in the Bunker and on Saturdays there's fire dancing and rock and metal music at the main stage and a punk and ska night down in the bunker. classic!
- Liquids proper nice, tuxedo princess is good but if you stare at anyone longer than 2 secs you might get beaten up... buffalo joes is a good bar
- Digital kicks ass for dance at the weekends nowadays especially Shindig, but Foundation is still goin strong and is more of a laugh. Loads of class new bars all the time, generally movin upmarket, Agora, Perdu and Coco V are just 3 unpretentious classy bars round central station. Can't beat the bars in Toon, never get bored of the huuuge variety.
- World Headquarters (or Worldys as it's known) is the only consistently decent club in the toon. Ace night out - good craic and great people.
- Three good indie nights: 1) Come Home at Bar 38 every Monday night. Free entry and decent music til 11 with drinks offers. 2) Revolver at Revolution every Tuesday night open until 1am! 3) Upfront at the Hancock - unofficial warm-up for Stone Love. All with DJ Maru.
- The Telegraph, The Cluny
- ikon which also does an under 18's every month

- My favourite clubs are Ikon and Envy I'm not a charve but Ikon isn't full of scum it's great fun so is Envy, and legends. There all really good I fucking hate people that judge people like that charves arent that bad I would go to Ikon anytime but I would neve go to Stage door.

- Newcastle is full of charvas, and the nights out are alrite till u get spiked by some georide cock who think they are hard!!!
- BIGMARKET FOR CHARVAS AND KEYSIDE FOR POSH PEOPLE
- Baja, Blu bambu - perfect for happy, carefree nite! DO NOT go 2 Blu bambu on a Sat nite tho - full of locals (even tho i am one!) but ones which r total pervy tossers and that was first time i've ever seen a fight in town aswell!
- Clubs wey aye there loads 4 the ravers oot there lik me n me m8s, we're the Rave Babez so luk oot 4 us if ya decide 2 cum up 2 the toon lik cheers!!
- There's a young uns night at stage door in china town on a wednesday night that's pretty good - no drinking tho :( Friday probably cuba cuba if you can put up with little Jeff playing "Du Hast" at the end of every night
- IKON is the best club to go in newcastle, brilliant on friday and saturday nights. it isn't full of charvas or scum as some people say, nd it probably has less slappers there than anywhere else. brilliant music!!!
- THE best club in Newcastle is Cause & Effect. It's not on regular tho, so you have to keep your eyes peeled to spot it, cos its always moving from one venue to another, and its only one once oevery couple of months or something like that. They play a mixture of techno, trance and hard house, its always pretty hard, but the best thing about it is that its full of all sorts of people, theres no dress code, theres hippies, goths, ravers, cybers, charvers, old people, country bumpkins, and anyone else you can think of. Its a real mix of people. Its just like a proper rave. You know how in some clubs, everyones attention is on the same thing, everyones on the same vibe?? Its a bit like Megadog if anyone can remember them. Its the sort of atmosphere, where everyones welcome, no matter how weird you are there will always be someone weirder than you...!! Sometimes the bouncers can be a bit arsey though.
- If your a goth never go to slyvesters it's a charve place.
- With out a doubt you would always have a gud night at Bar-ja it has great music and is always full of people just looking for a good time. People from all over the country go there when they are in Newcastle, so it is ideal for you cowards from down south who are frightened of "intimidating" Gerodies
- Newcastle student union, last Sat of every month! Brighton beach - 60s soul, indie, brit rock and ok priced drinks. best nite out in newcastle. stonelove on thursdays at foundation also good tho - indie and cheap drinks.
- The MAYFAIR as been knocked down to make way for a shopping centre.
- Reverb at Scotland Yard is the best place to go out on a Friday night in Newcastle if you like a bit of techno! Mr C, Billy Nasty etc. play there quite regularly - one of the best atmospheres I've come across in a club in a long time.
- The new Mayfair in Newcastle Arena is a brilliant night out, with old and new rock. Drinks a bit pricy though.....
Stonelove in Foundation is a great indie night out with regualr guest DJ nights and giveaways......
Cuba Cuba on a saturday is also brilliant with cheesy rock and a bit of new stuff thrown in and really really cheap drinks!
- Cuba cuba's a bit pants, but itll do.
- foundation, bulletproof check out the monkey nite if ur in2 that sort of thing coz it really is a wicked party.
- avoid IKON at all cost. It is full of the scum of Newcastle...not saying how I know this myself.
If u wanna great student night try Foundation(formerly the riverside) on Mondays and Thursdays...is popular so b early 2 avoid q. Trainers r ok, crowd is laid-back and young and everso slightly trendy...but dont let it put u off.
Rockshots is fab on fridays...really genuine crowd
- For a really good time, I'd go with Foundation (used to be The Riverside). Monday night is Skool Disco with cheep drinks and funny cheesy house music. Thursday is Stonelove with indie and rock. Again, cheap drinks. Friday is Promise which is one of the best nights out in the city. I've lived here all my life and I haven't found anywhere better. Enjoy!
- THE two best clubs in Ncle are Baja (busy, popular, 'beach club'style club with fit men and barmaids wearing bikinis!...and Sea, on the other side o' the river...more sophisticated than any other club in tyne+wear!and the people aren't too ugly either!!!!!
- foundation, legends
- Best club in Newcastle has to be Cuba Cuba on a Friday night. Upto date rock music from the likes of Limp Bizkit and the SEXIST two barmaids this side of.....anywhere :o)
- If you want a great Saturday night dancing and having, ahem, energy drinks. Then
you could do a lot worse than Rockshots (Waterloo St) It's got a lot of gay
people but they're friendly and there's lots of (definitely not gay) fit women.
The music is pumpin and the backroom has to be seen to be believed - nuts.
- LEGENDS is opposite the theatre and accomodates for every1.If you're into the R&B, Hip-hop and rap,the down stairs section will have u in your element!Upstairs is Dance.Excelent night with out a doubt.
The BOAT is brilliant for a girls or lads night out.theres a 70's room and spinning dance floor down stairs.Theres a huge amount of differnt roons you acn go to, even if you just want to sit down and chill out
- Getting much better on this front.
Monday: Legends sees Big Niall playing anything from the Soup Dragons to the Chemical
Bros. £2 b411 £3 after. Can't be beat. Unless you like 80's music in which case head for
Planet Earth, very popular so get there early.
Ther rest of the week: Look out for flyers in specialist clothes shops (they all have them)
some of the cooler cafes/bars/sandwich shops or in HMV. Loads going on, a student card
is a big bonus as there are always things happening at the Uni's, don't avoid these
as it's the only guarentee of meeting up with an really up for it crowd (not just people
drinking for longer) DO talk to people at these events as there's always a party going on
somewhere afterwards.
- For a free 'Pubs 'n' Clunbs' guide to Tyneside see the latest gangster culture book: 'Viv - and the Geordie Mafia (vol 2) under ISBN: 1-902578-01-5, which can be picked up at any Watersone's or WH Smith in Newcastle city centre. The book is now part of the furniture in and around Tyneside, having sold 20,000+ up to date. The guide is within the book and lists the ones to avoid as well as the condition of the decor and cost of drinks.
- A good place to go to is IKON on New Bridge Street. They play mainly uplifting house and trancy stuff but it does get quite cheezy on Fridays and Saturdays. It has a rep for "charvers" but they are clamping down on this now. Mondays and Thursdays are the best (Student nights) Lots of cheap beer!
- The mayfair no longer exists - in their wisdom the site will become yet
another generic multiplex/carpark/shopping experience...
- Go to the Bigg market on Friday nights, you'll find one soon enough, that is, if you haven't been molested by a bunch of slappers with fake tans and bleach blonde hair before you get a chance to see one.
- Mayfair: 18+. Good live bands (rock, rap and reggae). It's on Newgate Street, just past Co-op. Planet Earth is bloody good on a Friday. This is by far the friendliest club in Newcastle. Shindig is full of drunk footballers.
