If you see an old man with a white beard handing out flyers for the Jazz cafe, he might seem mad but hes actually pretty intelligent and a sound dude
Lastly a mention to the big issue seller Rick, who you'll know by his mannerism - always a joke and probally the best big issue seller i know, as he doesnt just stand there yelling bbiigg issuuee mmmaammm etc. He makes jokes and persuades you to buy - not often there anymore but if you see him have a chat!
- Jonny Decker
- tramp with beard, always singing
- The guy who tries to hit on you, selling the big issue, outside on monument mall (northumberland street side) quality!
- GO TO THE WEST END FIND LOADS OF SCRUFFY GEORDIES THERE
- Look out for Ollie the magic drunk at the back of the Duke pub in kenton. He seems to know alot of stuff bout skating and gives you money if you do something that looks cool.

- Tenth Avenue band - street band, busking in the town centre, parties etc. Jazz, blues, world music - audience interactive. web site at www.tenthavenueband.co.uk
- There's a bloke who sings George Formby songs, if you like that sort of thing (and he doesn't stop if you don't). Also a Northumbrian Piper often on Northumberland Street.
- Every Saturday during the summer months go to the Monument to watch the Peruvian band
Apu perform, classic stuff. They are where the fast show gang got their idea from
(true) but don't be put off by that, they really are brilliant!
- great busking scene especially around the monument and northumberland street
u don't need a licence but u have to get a pitch to busk in the metro.
fs
- Apu from Peru are regulars at the Monument, as are the Bagdaddies (unless they've got lots of proper gigs now).
- See Durham. Same posse of clueless wankers with nowt better to do in their spare time.
