  • www.skamonkey.com.. a voluntary group of blokes who promote bands and hire a great sound system/pa out to anyone whos not a w**ker and cant afford the silly prices.
  • Polestar recording studios. http://www.polestarstudios.co.uk/ its in Uptin House, Stepney Road, Shieldfield. its not the cheapest, but the backline is fantastic and the rooms far surpass those found at First Ave. in heaton.
  • Ingramsounds have a great PA they run a fast smooth service there web site is www.ingramsounds.co.uk check them out
  • The Fire:Station Rehearsal Room In Newcastle City Centre has just opened and is definately the coolest place to practice if your a band. It has an awesome P.A and funky lights...even has a sofa to chill out on! Best of all it works out cheaper than all the other practice rooms ive ever been to in the area! The drum kit is even included in the price! they also do amp hire and snare bass hire. Their phone number is 0191 2330315 and their myspace is www.myspace.com/the_firestation Its situated at 7 St Nicholas Churchyard, Newcastle (Formerly Uncle Sams Studio, just of moseley street)
  • First Avenue - way cool and the only place to hear reggae/rock/weird vibes on a daily basis

  • Anyone remember the practice rooms at the Clooney in the 90's? It was run by some p*ssed up skinhead w*nker who used to quadroople book the place every week. Wot an arse!
  • There is a recording studio called Uncle Sams down the back lane from the st nicholas cathedral accross from bar m. The Light house family and Kenickie both were signed here.
