- n.s.c. (newcastle skate centre)has shutdown also
- With the demise of NSC there's not much around. There's a new shop by tiger tiger/the gate and one down by the green market...
- New shop NATIVE has opened next to the new cinimar and tiger tiger bar. Its exelent better that transit. Niar! Owned by some dued called scotty.
- NSC is the only choice
- surf, skate and snowat the royal queys.
- There is also the rails up next to manors metro station long blue rails great 4 switch ups. What more can I say.
- Law courts at the quayside Theres 2 8 sets a 3 set a ledge and a brown ledge that the rollerbladers love check it out
- Transit, just opened near the macdonalds near greys (sorta). Loads of skate stuff, Spenders guitar shop upstairs too.
- NSC - down by the, er fancy old bit of the toon. Ask at the green, someone ll generally know.
- Ride is a good shop for skatebording clothes but the NSC is the best for skatebords and snowbords.
- N.S.C sells alotta skatewear and boards and is run by a mad-man, Ian Taylor. He looks quiet but keep an eye on him. They aslo have snow stuff and ice hockey gear if thats your bag baby.
- Newcastle Skate Centre (N.S.C) pretty good 16 , Shakespeare Street , (next to theatre royal)
- Passengers was recently renamed 'Cold Turkey'. Whether this is an after Christmas or drugs reference remains to be seen. You can't reach it without getting a bus or the metro, 'cos it's not actually in central Newcastle, it's in Heaton on the main road. Every Saturday they set up a fun box (flat bank if you prefer) which annoys next doors shop no end... Haha...
- Newcastle is also alledgedly home to "The North East's largest skateboard shop". It's somewhere near the centre, I moved away before it opened so can't remember what it's called . Claims to have new stock arriving every day (yeah, right!)
- Wilderness ways also stocks a good range of skateboards and clothes etc. Most of the staff don't know what the fook they're on about, go in expecting a deck, come out with a snowboard that isn't even the right size for you.
- 100% Sport, 62 New Green Market, may still sell a couple of decks. Better to get the Metro to Sandy's Surf Shop, 39 Front Street, Tynemouth. But ring them first on 091 296 3049, to see if they've got what you want.
