  • morpeth skate park..small but perfectly formed...
  • pig whistle lush 4 set and a couple of 2's and 3's. also check out the sort of marble ledge waxed to perfection
  • phoenix theatre in high heaton/ jesmond (on the border between the two) has got a nice three set to grind, but not really for 5 hour seshes though. i often go their for an hour on the way to exhibitin park, coz the stop for haymarket is dead near.
  • Just ask the guys at Transit, they really cool and helpfull
  • If you want to go skating, go to exhibition park near the RVI - it has a skatepark, but tends to be for the younger. As tempting as it may seem to go round this area at night for shortcuts and a pleasant walk through the park, beware of gangs and other miscreants hanging around waiting to attack someone. There have been reports of attacks here usually by youths, so take care unless your well hard.
  • law courts, pilgrim, 5 bridges, gap to bench...
  • under heath the centeral station bridge there is some wicked banks and stairs and a little drop in sexction
  • Dont skate around the monument or blue carpet area or you get busted by a council guy and you get a letter threaterning a fine!!! Thats why its empty all the time now.
  • the warehouse is unskateable, dont go you will be arrested fools, the baltic has nothing at all to skate and no marble, law courts are good, two 8 sets on red bull dvd) pilgrim street (swan house), haymarket is no more, harry B*astard 9 set with two banks is ok, penny (raised banbk on quayside is ok, river 5 on quayside is good, 5 bridges in gateshead is amazing, get carter carpark in gateshead is canny, biddick school in washington is amazing,( on landscape vid and mischief vids) and thats all i can be arsed to write, cheers.

TRANSIT SUK BALLS
  • the green (plenty of guys out wit ther skatebords, or just getting stoned) urm..... leazers park - ramps and halfpipes n stuff ther!
  • There is now a skate park at the enterance to the exhibition park, Its pretty good with bowls all all that - just along from the hancock museum.
  • The front of the Baltic is quite a good spot for beginners and stuff, theres some good marble there but you can't go down the stairs on your board coz they put some strange concrete things in, still good though. The Baltic is next to the Millenium bridge (blinking eye)
  • longbenton mini closed at least 15 yrs ago lol.vertx in hendon in sunderland has a new 5ft spine mini due to finished 17th feb
  • exibition park is openning soon at the beggining of March mini bowls already.open
  • Newcastle is great to street skate, from the Monument down to the Quayside you can play Charva-skittles (see how they fly, and swear, and if they didn't have a diet of Tescos value range crisps, bootleg tabs made from the sweepings off the floor of the factory which makes cigarettes from the sweepings off the floor of the Asda own brand cigarette factory, and bootleg, make you blind vodka, they might be fit enough to catch you.) Along the quayside, up to Walker (it's an endurance sport as well as clickety clackety on a step for five hours) through the foot tunnel then back along the Jarrow side of the river to the new bridge (blinking eye) bridge.
  • Skatepark imminent at entrance to exhibition Park (next to the uni)
  • Haymarket. They spent a fortune on a art instalation that no-one likes there, so you can skate on it and no-one cares except the council dudes when they turn up. And Newcastle College.
  • the green wich is tar macked but still can be fun.
  • Quuens bank 2 flat banks with a stair gap between them just up from the laing gallery
  • Priory school in tynemouths alright, bit boring, but good for flatland stuff, and little skater kids / or begginers.
  • Around the old eldon square is good as long as the policemen are not there to tell you off!!!!
  • the old monument now has a three foot high railing round it and greys monument has just been redone so its now a bit crap.
  • Excellent place for skate and BMX discovered on BMX/Skate jam. Big white concrete place (dont actually know what the point of this place is) loads of steps and flatland plus a rail stuff to ollie over. Brilliant. In the grounds of Newcastle college, near Elswick quite near the arena and behind Grosvenor casino. Mint site by the way Alli114@hotmail.com
  • Walker: 24' wide ramp, 9' trans, 16" vert. Not much of a scene as most people prefer Washington Oval. Pity. Anywhere else this ramp would be way more popular.
  • Civic Centre now has a £500 fine You've been warned Hippy Green (old Eldon square) is getting a fence round it to stop skaters The university is still fine just hide from the Security Guards when you go in Just ask the guys at NSC where to skate .
  • During the week Greys monument is popular, but tricks performed there mainly involve railings, which believe me, gets a bit tedious after a while (I know it sounds stupid, but really, it does get boring watching people constantly performing a repetoire that includes all of four tricks). On Sundays a lot of the local skaters travel to Durham for a change of scene, but those that do stay, savour the once a week experience of skating around the civic centres' POLISHED MARBLE AND GRANITE surfaces, and the new Law courts steps and railings. Understandably, skating outside the council's main offices and the region's courts during the week is thick, and quite frankly, asking for trouble and a hefty fine. A helluva lot of Newcastle is skateable, and it's great for cruising about, so come along and experiment.
  • Princes Square: Town centre bank spot. No hassles. Long Benton: Mini in youth club. Sketchy opening times. 12' wide, 4.5' high.
  • Northumbria University is top skatespot but the ultimate buzz has to be bombing through the Metrocentre just before closing time. The security guards always chase and never catch up 'cos we're through the fire exit half a mile ahead of them. Heehee... oi! oi!
