- Even though there is a large chav culture the people are generally friendly and there is quite a feeling of community spirit-everyone seems to know everyone else but not to the exclusion of the 'outsiders'.
- For easy of eascape, it is at least fairly easy to get a ferry over the channel or a bus into Brighton.
- The train to London.
- The fact it's a port, day trips to France and a good supply.
- You're having a laugh, right?
- Nice pool, harbour arm. Bit of a sandy beach. Newhaven Fort is wicked, even when your 20!!!

Fast Ferry to Dieppe
- A real living fishing port with ferry acess to france. Boatbuilding hangs on as an industry.
