- Just to correct the content of worst things about Newmarket - firstly the swimming pool has been refurbished with a grant from the national lottery and is now a very nice pool.
What an ignorant comment about the horses being a nuisance - without them Newmarket wouldn't exist as a world leader in the equine arena, quite simply Newmarket wouldn't exist.
- Newmarket Rugby Club, Scaltback, Elizabeth Way, Newmarket. Tel 01638-663082. Four senior sides including the veterans who are VERY senior and youth sides from 8 to 19 y.o. This is the best sports club in Newmarket.
- I was suprised at the lack of info already here, considering Mildenhall had loads. I'm sure there are some famous people that come from Newmarket.

- Newmarket is famous for its horse racing and the Newmarket Heath.
- Great town just to walk around the heaths especially the one near the clock tower. You can see for miles and at the town itself. Great for taking the kids sledding during the winter.
- Best feature: the world's best sausage from "The Pork Shop", Wellington Street.
