Cheap Food

• Jumbo's chinese on the East side of the river, friendly service and great food. Bombay Bicycle Club.
• The Canteen in the Gwent Hospital Cardiff rd. - You can get a good meal in the warm and laugh at injury compensation cheats stuffing themselves at same time.
• well i say cheap food is poison, like mcdonalds and that shit, but if u go to price right, u can just nick everything from their, even tho the beans cost half a pence. its just greed basiclly, and u people who do steal from their.......:P shame!

• Portobello Pizza on Cardiff Road has best take away Pizza and burgers. Vesuvio on Stow Hill has brilliant pasta - whilst one portion is around £8 it is enough for two.

• Boomers chip shop in the centre, give you a generous quantity and taste good.
• u can find polenty on the floor of the bus station
• Hunky Dories vegetarian coffee shop, excellent veggie food in a really nice relaxed atmosphere even if your not veggie you need to sample this food its delicious
• NEWPORT LODGE HOTEL, ALTHOUGH ITS PROBALBLY GONE RIGHT DOWN HILL SINCE I STOPPED COOKING THERE!! LOL!
• In Newport You'll never (have to) walk home alone without a keebab. But I'd recommend a veggie option, less hastle next day know what I mean. Plenty a good curry houses, some nice Mexican bars (with hmm tequila). Remember "Great restaurants are, of course, nothing but mouth brothels. There is no point going to them if one intends to keeps one belt buckled."
• Mcdonalds- Yuck! Greggs- Nice For a change. Various caravan things that sell jackets potatos. Sometimes theres a pancake van- woohoo!
• the word which links newport to food is simply kebab!

• OTT's [named ' noodle and funk bar'] is perfect for...well,noodles.Villa Dino's in Maindee for top-notch Italian food[being Italian myself,I should know] The Celtic Manor [if you feel like spending 100 quid on a meal.Ahem]
• anywhere for munch, avoid the place on skinner street opposite boomers

• Wimpy. There used to be two till the one closed down. Hang on a min isnt there one in Megabowl?? Yeah. There used to be three but now there is 2. Lotus fish bar on corp road. chinese temporarily unavailanle (for the past 4 years!)
• Don't go to any of them, you could get TB
• ifties' la bamba, bombay bicycle club and now the (caerphilly mongolian rip-off) noodle bar just near the market. nice set up tho'. plus a new thai restaurant (yet to be checked out) on the cardiff road.
• all over the place. la bamba mexican restaraunt is good
• Chinese Wok Inn on Chepstow Road - superb! Dragon Palace on Chepstow Road - average. Slowboat at the Handpost - good. Indian Indian Ocean on Cardiff Road - shite! Koh I Noor in Maindee - expensive and overrated. Handpost Tandoori - just above average. Railway Tandoori - very good. Bombay Bicycle Club - very good. Grand Tandoori - okay if your pissed. Sylhet Tandoori - very good Jewel Balti - good Taste of Asia - very good Other La Bambas - superb! Vittorios - very good. Fratellis - okay. Rhiwderin Inn - very good
• My God! Newport still has a WIMPY!!! Haven't seen one of them for YEARS!
• Skating is a fast lifestyle - sit down meals are not on the cards but we are all ardent supporters of the great double golden arch of macdonalds. Ronald is like a father too us. we salute you!
• McDonalds (probably the only one with decent food) mainly Indians and curry house nice french restaurant on Clarence place
• best kebab is the... well its the best nuff said.
• Post drinking, Boomers is excellent as is Yummies for Kebabs - I used to date a Greek and he said that he'd tried Kebabs in many countries but that yummies was by far the best - try one with chips and garlic sauce on top - bloody gorgeous!
• Loads look in yellow pages
• stick to the pubs, you can't go wrong
• Hunky Dory's top of charles street Veggie and Vegan fare, top quality stuff ferris Chippe at the bus station cheap big portions
