• Up stairs in British Home stores - I once saw an old girl picking her false teeth out of a doughnut there once.
• coffee no1, i dont like coffee, its mongin, and starbuks, obviously.

• Hunky Dories vegetarian coffee shop, excellent veggie food in a really nice relaxed atmosphere even if your not veggie you need to sample this food its delicious.
• Ooh so many but check out Scarlets, it's been there the longest, and I'd hate to see all these sad corporate coffee-shit-houses pushing them out of business.
• The Coffee Shop- Just make sure you look grown up, otherwise you can't get high. C-mon, there is only so much you can take! :-s Starbucks- Expensive! But they sell the best toffee waffles! Scarlets- Thats Salmonela infested territory.

• Hmm...I shudder at the name 'Starbucks'...so I'll try and provide a list of non mainstream consumer ,commercial, Seattle based over-priced,money grabbing coffee shops. The Chicago Rock cafe [notably, not based in Chicago]opposite the train station.Opposite Anthony John hair salon in the arcade[dont know what it's called] and Coffee and Cards.
• the coffee shop use to be ok but then they made it so the kids cant go there, (haha) because they sell baileys

• Starbucks. At last a bit of sophistication!
• decent italian run place in the corner of john frost square, and of course now the corporate starbucks......plus there is a coffee/new age bookshop opposite diverse.

• Wayfarers Cafe on Chepstow Road - marvellous breakfast.
• there are not enough around and they should open till late and not be so expensive
• Coffee shop by the smelly market - and Mr Q's.
• Quite a few now placed all around city centre
• The Rat and Parrot is excellent for coffee etc in the day - avoid it like the plague in the evening though, unless you're a posey wanker that is, in which case you should fit in well.
• Again lots of these too, scarlets, Mr Q, in kingsway and an old toy store that has been converted
• loads but all of them smell of old people and toilets
