- The Jolly Farmer has bands but the venue is a bit small and the drinks are expensive! a few other pubs have bands. and there is also the occasionally badly advertised jam night.

- Jolly Farmer has many local bands. People say it is a good venue, but a tad small.
- Jolly Farmer, The Fox, The Swan(you willprobably get stuck to the carpet),Market House, Courtenay Arms allusually have live bands from Thursday-Sunday. Sometimes the Queens Hotel has the best localband named SPINY NORMAN on irregular occassions, sing a lot of classic rock, all talented piss heads but worth a listen.

- The Jolly Farmer showcases many happening live acts - 'Auntie Peg's Singing Cat', for example, and 'Rust-ears Jim'. If you can't take the pace, check out the Ship on Friday night. There's a jukebox!
