- found new shop in town last week, in st peters walk its the shopping parade that goes from gold street to argos, its called Desire and they sell really nice boots all year round and some really sexy basques and gothy underwear.
- Driver
- Other than your High Street usuals, Wardrobe in Ridings Arcade and Bias in Peacock Place sell some individual pieces. Those kids looking for spiky jewellery, big jeans and giant black wedge boots try Spun Out on Gold Street. Emporium on Wellingborough Road is great for something a bit wacky.
- Try charity shops I am not shitting you they can have some cool clothes,Wardrobe is good for all you emo's and there aren't really any good punk stores. Into camo? Try the army surplus stores and market stall. They have some pretty hardcore army boots. But, sorrry girls the soldier does not come free with them. Driver and underground are cool too.
- PLEASE EVERYONE CHECK THE NEW SHOP OPENING IN NORTHAMPTON SELLING PUNK AND GOTHIC CLOTHING. www.neonwomb.com ITS ABOUT TIME THERE WAS A DECENT SHOP THATS NOT OVERPRICED BRINGING YOU THE BEST QUALITY PUNK AND GOTHIC CLOTHING. DONT BE A MARKET GOTH ITS NOT VERY CREDIBLE.
- Neon Womb is a new shop opening shortly in Northampton selling Gothic and Punk clothing, its about time there was a decent (not overpriced) shop in the town,Most of the ranges are very exclusive to Neon Womb, Omen Clothin, Craig Morrison,Angelsworld is just a few please visit www.neonwomb.com for more information on these top quality products, tell everyone NEON WOMB
- Scrooge on Kettering Road is crammed full of great vintage stuff. Lots of retro sportswear, bags, shoes & lovely eiderdowns. I could spend hours in this place.
- RUSTY SNAILS .COM - www.rustysnails.com - CLOTHING / TRAINERS / RECORDS / BOOKS / DVD'S / NAME BELT BUCKLES . MIDLANDS BASED . WORLDWIDE DELIVERY .
- Scrooge, Ketting Road
- freespirit, hang 10 (RIP) Quiksilver
- Spunout, Freespirit, Quiksilver, I dunno really H&M. I like to accessorise my own clothes.
- AVOID Scrooge, which is run by the most ignorant and miserable old woman I have ever met. Marks and Spencer is still the best, they actually have jeans in my size.
- "Hang Ten" Skate and Surf gear, down the road from the guild hall (opposite end of the street from the Rat and Parrot.
- Spun out, Emporium, market 4 cheap baggies, Neighbourhood (tho expensive)
- spun out and emporium. also places like primark are cool too.
- t k maxx is the best!
- definetley Spun Out (gold street) and The Emporium (abington square) they are the best for buyin unisex baggy flairy jeans and also funky tops to wear aswell.
- Red Cross, Oxfam, woolworths "BRIERLEYS HAS TO BE THE BEST OF ALL"
- For ur alternative clothing you want SpunOut near SolCentral, Emporium, Neighbourhood, FreeSpirit, Scrooge on the Kettering road is GREAT for vintage gear. And not too pricey.
- emagen is the best shop who everwrote that it is for slapper has no taste and is sum sad person that has no life
- The Officers Club in Peacock Place knocks out two pairs of jeans for twenty quid - and that's not to be sniffed at!
- The Black Rose in Northampton has shut down!!! For more Black Roses Go To Camden, London :P
- loads, the usual multiples such as Next etc + independents that cater for all, skaters, sportswear, Goth's, crusties etc.
- Spun Out at the bottom of Gold Street sells mostly clubbing gear, UV reactive n' that, some hoodies and plenty of greebo baggy trousers, colourful hair dye and groovy accessories, also dance music, mainly on vinyl... the Black Rose used to be a great goth shop but they closed it and replaced it with a toy shop, dammit! The Emporium sells much the same clothes as Spun Out, has some nice colourful knit wear - too expensive for me though... the Salvation Army charity shop on Gold Street is best if you're on a budget, if you're rolling in it on the other hand go to Neighbourhood, right at the top of Abington Street near the old cinema/new Jesus Centre
- spun out rocks *thumbs up* (black rose has been replaced with a toy shop)
- Ethos is brilliant, the Emporium, Spun out, there is a little market stall (its not that little any more) that sells some good hoodies and badges and belts and things liek that...the guy/guys that own it are really nice too.
- I don't think I've noticed any good clothes shops in Northampton yet!
- emporium or spun out if you're alternative. then theres quicksilver next to virgin megastores upstairs in the grosvenor centre or freespirit on the drapery by mcdonalds.
depending on what you're into, theres topshop, h&m, river island, miss selfridge, warehouse, new look, dorothy perkins, burtons, debenhams
- If you are into the more alterntive scene the best places to go are emporium and spinadisc. they both seel similar things and its a bit coslty but thats the price you have to pay to be original!
- ok. neighbourhood are friendly and sell all round cool clothes. spun out is good for clubwear. hang ten for surf wear. Thats it folks!!!
- emporium, spun out free spirit quiksilver or marketwot
- Plenty of overpriced shops selling designer crap that even Timmy Mallett wouldn't be seen dead in. Next - how does this branch survive? It always seems to be dead, not surprisingly given that the majority of people here seem to do all their clothes shopping by way of the market, Poundstretcher and JJB Sports.
- Emporium, spun out, free spirit, hang 10, neighbourhood, 2 seasons, cloud 8, heart, ethos for alternatives. great charity shops too!
- The place is full of them, the better ones are the Emporium on Abbington Square and Spun out at the bottom of Gold street.
- Loads, some good, some crap. There'll be something for everyone's tastes. There's a cool second-hand clothes shop called Scrooge on Kettering Rd and a few other decent clothes shops along there towards the town centre. Thackeray's & Ossie on the Wellingborough Rd cater for the more label orientated.
- Two Seasons (wellingborough road); Quiksilver shop (grovesnor centre); Radlands (Studland road); Spun out (Gold street); Free Spirit (The Drapery)
- i have found a fantastic shop selling Gothic/Punk and club wear..its ETHOS on the Kettering road the guy in there knows his Punk and have a great selection of clothes ohhh and some Fetish stuff to.There on-line shop has a lot more stuff too
- new look on lower part or abi street
- Spun-Out & Neiborhood
- Go to Neighborhood, if you're a smug, self-satisfied hipster prick with a job in IT somewhere, and don't realise that there are men with large waists than a size 32.
- The Black Rose has gone... its now a kiddy shop. there is one in Banbury - but it isn't as good as Northampton's was. *humph
It's gotta be the Emporium - resionable prices on all the stuff you were too *merry to buy at Glastonbury!
- Spun Out, Emporium and Ethos for alternative people. And the new Freespirit shop, on the Drapery selling skate and surf stuff. It has a founatin and some wicked staff! ;)
- That suit shop opposite guild hall is quite good cant remember the name
- ummm bad range, market quite good though for going out clothes, otherwise krisp, or there is a shop called melody ...used to be great really cheap and fantastic clothes but then they had a refurb and doubled the prices and the clothes got worse
- I always thought Beatties does some good clothes
- Spun out and Emporium. Nice alternative clothes and in Spun Out clubby (gatecrasher) clothes too. A good range.
- Spun Out, Next, Brantano's, Big L, Montague Jeffrey's and The Emporium. Avoid all the market stall tat peddlers unless you like buying T-shirts that either disintegrate or go all baggy at the neck after ONE bloody wash.
- spun out the best place in the known universe for baggy unisex jeans. have the same ones as my friends ex....
- Next in Peacock Place rules, and Spin Out (Gold Street) is great for off-beat, funny t-shirts, like the famous 'Crawling Back Later', Laurel & Hardy's 'Shut It!' design, Jerry Springer as Satan etc. Emagen on Abington Street is strictly for slappers, and the thumping bass music they blare out really does your head in as you walk by.
- Next. Still the best. Come on all you scruffbags, stop worshipping at the Adidas altar!
- was kaos, then garb and has now changend again, but still seems quite good. opposite the indoor market
- there are loads of these if your looking for high street brands and saturday window shopping, other than that go to Milton Keynes
- emporium has a great section (its on abington square), and clues on college street is good as well.
- spun out!bottom of gold street( a Dump of road if there ever was 1)sells the best selection of flaired jeans and cords but muchous expensive
- If you're alternative, then you should pop your head in Garb, home to every size of flared trouser, 70s style shirts and lovely leather jackets!
- I found a new shop called Neighbourhood near the Fish market in town that's got some good stuff - Bench, Howies, Can't Skate, Go Vicinity, Fuct, I can't remember what else, but I went in on saturday and they were friendly - which makes a change in Northampton's clothes shops, and they had stuff you usually have to go out of town for.
- I like retro-style stuuf, alternative and streetwear - Emporium (Wellingborough Road), Spun Out (bottom of Gold Street), Heart (Gold Street Mews) and Black Rose is ok too (opposite Spinadisc, Abbington Road)
- spun out, spinadisc and the emporium
- Oxfam. Ethos. Big L (Levis). Miss Selfridge if you like naff pink stuff. Oh, and the DM shop. And I'd have to say Spun Out as well. AND THE EMPORIUM...oooh and the Black Rose for posh frocks.
- Hang Ten on Giles Street is expensive, but they get some some really groovy clobber in there...essential if you like the Salt Rock or Weird Fish surfing range...
- Not very many at all. M&S, a few girls ones, WEW and a few sports shops. That's it.
- Peacock place is full of them. For brand sportswear try Sport Soccer on Abington Street cos it's really cheap.
- spun out, black rose, emporium and maxcred.com is a cool place to get hoodies
- Just wear your school uniform all the time. Blazer pockets are nice and big. Don't forget the tie. Do you want to look cool or not? I'm trying to help you here.
- Principles at Debenhams and Next in Peacock Place are cool if you like looking smart, which about 5% of people in Northampton do. Everyone else seems to schlep around in Primark's finest (!) or dodgy sportswear with big fucking logos and rubber dinghy-sized trainers.
- Bog-standard high street stores - TopShop, Miss Selfridge, et al. Some of the charity/second hand shops are worth looking in for a bargain.
- Emporium, Black Rose, Spinadisc also Mail orders, Sk8ers go to radlands Spun Out or the shop above Phoenix Comix
- Next. Everywhere else sucks.
- Clues.....hey you will look good in this pair of jeans (that you are already wearing) and errrrrr, yeah mate it will go well with these shoes (which you already have) etc..... They do sell good clothes though so this no longer applies.
- Second hand shops down the Kettering road are the best, Scrooge has a quality section of 70's stuff, SHelter shop, Samaritans and others!
- apart from the standard high street stuff going on , Northampton has quite a few alternative retail opportunities on offer. For goths greebos end anyone slightly alt. there is the Black Rose at the top of Abington street with a good stock of pvc, lace and body jewellery. Emporium on Abby square does a good line of hipppyish stuff and has a wicked retro section.for the exclusive clubwear that just cannae be bought in topshop you wanna look in Heart( Gold Street Mews) and Cloud 8( college street) for cool designer gear and individual evening wear. Essential Viynl and Pure sell more clubby/balearic stylee stuff, which can also be a bit pricey.
- Black rose opposite spin-a-discis very good for goth/hippy style clothes, and some of the staff are damn sexy!!!!
- No real good clubbers shops
- At the top end of town theis a shop called Driver and a shop near that called two seasons and they sell surf kinda stuff
- My fave is probably either Top Shop or River Island...nice stuff!
- Black Rose - Abington St. Decent but pricey goth stuff.
- for girlies into club/skate/surf wear: Heart in Gold street Mews does stuff like Stussy
- Signes Sails
