Magazine and Comic Shops
- Close Encounters on Abington Square has an amazing range of comics, manga and graphic novels. I was talking to the new owner that bought Phoenix Comix and he seems to know what he's talking about and is willing to order anything that you want if it isn't in stock. This place even has a small seating area where you can have a coffee and read comics.
- phoenix comix on wellingborough road
- Good Comic shop on Abington square
- I get my copy of Document in WH SMITH dont even bother with Tesco. Tesco sells Kerrang, NME but not rock sound. Look in the 'male interest' section, porno basically, not fair on us gils but hey ho!
- Sad I KNOW but paper chain stocks every skate mag inc my fave Document and I swear every gay porn mag in the whole world-my friend is gay, I have a boyfriend and am happy with my sexuality. Thanks
- Paper chain and WHSmith stock Document that's where I get my copy. They also stock other ex-sports mags.
- phoenix comics.. DUH
- Spinadisc records, believe it or not, also Phoenix Comix and Pied Piper stocks the odd indie title.
- Phoenix comics
- paperchain is the main one i use.
- oh of course it has to be the local corner shop!!!!
- Phoenix Comics
- Phoenix has a decent range but not enough variety - don't even think about asking for R.Crumb or underground artists in general, they'll look at you like you're an alien from the planet Mental!
- Phoenix comics
- phoneix comix
- The finest comic shop in town is Blitz Video and Comic Shop, but visiting it involves an arduous journey back to the early 1990s. If you make it, watch out for the owner - he acts just like Bebgie from Trainspotting. Fortunately, he looks like him, too, so he's easily avoided ALTHOUGH he could burst through the rear entrance at any time. This is not a metaphor for buggery. Seriously, watch out. If you can't get back in time for personal reasons or whatever, why not go to Phoenix on Abington Square and ask about Blitz in there? Pete and Steve will fill you in. Again, not a metaphor. What IS it with you and buggery?
- theres a place on abington square
- pheonix comics, has a fine young lady working there saturdays. and they have a really really really fine selction of rare comics
- PHOENIX!!!!THEBEST
- Phoenix comics is definately the best comic shop in the northamptonshire area, it's been around for years. good friendly staff who know what they are talking about and a good amount of upto date stock and back issues. i cant fault them at all.
- Paper Chain on Abington Street has the best range of magazines you'll find anywhere - it takes up half the bloody shop, an entire wall! Phoenix Comix is more like a flea market for geeky 'collectors' and twelve-year-old fanboys than a proper comic shop, how long before it goes to the wall just like Blitz did in the early nineties?
- Phoenix comix (Abington Square)
- Phoenix Comix as stated above
- Pheonix Comics. A great shop full of cool merchandise from films ad a great choice of comics. They will do their best to get you what you want and charge really reasonable prices.
- no chance... go to smiths
- Pheonix Comics. Really cool. A wide range of stock and lots of figures, t-shirts and posters too.
- Blackcurrent Books on Allen Road (off Wellingborough Road) is a truly amazing little place, sadly it's only open on Friday and Saturday afternoons, but it's well worth a visit as they do a nice line in independent / radical / weird / bizarre titles.
- 39p
- Phoenix Comics leans too heavily toward Star Trek anoraks and Buffy obsessives. Scrap the lot and get some Crumb / Shelton / counterculture stuff in!
- Phoenix is such a joke. They've never even heard of Robert Crumb, for Christ's sake! The guy is a legend!
- phoenix comics, kettering road....
- pheniex
- Phoenix on Abington Square, which seems to be a hangout spot for thick nu-metallers with black hoodies, Eric Morecambe shorts and toilet chains hanging down one leg.
- General stuff like WHSmith, but also Phoenix Comix
- Ahhh, that one on the Welly roads near Molly's bar...can't remember its name tho. Also sell sk8 videos and sk8r stuff from the window
- Phoenix is all we have, but it's not that bad. Decent range of alternative titles, and they're very friendly.
- Phoenix Comix on Abington Square do all sorts of comic books, etc. I know cos I used to get dragged in weekly by my mate.
- Phoenix is okay, but suffers from the usual "We're so f'ing trendy we couldn't possibly lower ourselves to talk to mere mortals such as you" staff AND customers.
- Phoenix Comix, for all your sci-fi needs. Not just comics, but general cult-TV memorabilia.
- Paper chain by Spinadisc
The little ones in the GROSVENOR CENTRE an the one in the Bus station
- Phoenix comix near Mr Tumbledown.
- aaah. Pheonix Comics. As a typical lass I have never really understood the attraction of this place, but an ex in the know says that it is very good and i have been told that there are some pretty damn fine fellas to be found flicking through the x men mags!!!
- must be
- Woolies is best (bit packed on Saturday, though)
- That pheonix comics is good 4 pokemon crap!
- Phoenix Comix, near the Lancaster Garage, Abington Square.
