Art deco, contemporary, futuristic, tall, short...
You can tell us more about Oldham.
Favourite Building
- Civic Centre
- 94 trafalger street
- Higginshaw schoool, Shaw road. Currently home to Groundwork Oldham and Rochdale. It's big, ornate, redbricked, has alot of history and is now filled with cool people running environment and youth programmes throughout oldham and rochdale.
- Oldhams Town hall, a listed building that has great steps leading up and Huge pillars, and a Blue Plaque with "Winston Churchil made a speech from here" The building has been boarded up for about 10 years, But we do have a great Civic Centre, about 35 storys high and full of "I Don't Know" people
- Oldham Police Station
- THE OLD TOWN HALL SHOULD BE A OLD FASHIONED SHOPPING CENTRE
- The spindles shopping centre - Nowt else to say is there?
- my mums house
- Shaw public toilets outside Shaw bath. A testament to architectural crappiness, and the kind of smell you'd expect from a dug-up corpse. I'm glad I don't know why they call it rape corner as well -RM
- The library. A real treasure. Great staff, great atmosphere and great architecture.
- Public toilets outside shaw baths. Be sure to take a carrier bag with you, so it only looks as though there is one person in the cubicle!
- The 6th Form College. It's a reasonably new building & one of the main reasons I go up there.
- Hulme Grammar School, from the Oldham when the sun shines on the red bricks and it looks all nice with the gardens and everything.
- 69 REMBRANDT WALK
- Cricketers Arms, Milnrow Road, Shaw
- Old bank at Mumps roundabout and Hartshead pike.
- Quite a few nice ones. In it's hayday there was a lot of money in the town, now things look rather run down. The old Martins Bank is a pretty building, though it needs a damn good clean.
- The ELK mill
- Chaddy end...Boundary Park..football ground
- Werneth Junior School clock, brings back such fond childhood memories, and you can see it for miles (just to the left or right of St. Thomas' - depending which way you're looking); The old indoor market (before it burned down).
