Cheap Food
- The Swan is awful!!! Please dont go. Its just gettin by on its looks that the only reason them fickle people go An dont even get me started on the cafe bar, that place needs blowin up and startin again its discusting. Even the rats have moved out cos they've got higher standards than the scuzzy staff. its filthy!!! Dont bother with Le Frog either they are constantly dead cos its shite. The "chefs" havent even been trained. Room 47 is quite nice and Quottros is lovely Oeste is good for a celebration too.
- Oeste has fab food and fab service. Who ever wrote bout it obviously doesnt go in you dick!! It sport thats shown Knobhead not music channels. It is very classy indeed a right little gem. An as for the tree its better than Ormskirk lights. thanks for listening
- Acropolis :) best curry sauce anywhere!!
- the cafe bar, cheap....yes... lets just say you get what you pay for!!!....what a load off crap!!! bad service, cold tasteless food, waited forever for our table, used to go there all the time, must have changed hands as not a patch on how it used to be!!!...dont bother...plenty better in ormskirk!!
- room 47, went expecting the normal bistro type menu round here, got to say, very surprised, lovely inside, loads of choice of tapas & bistro, we had a great night on our works night out, and im going again this weekend with my husband, would defo recommennd!!
- Aldi.
Acropolis is good food, but not cheap. Portions decent. Takeaway in Aughton run by possible crook.
- cafe bar is cheap for a reason, shit servie and cold slosh. fiveways is ditto, the landlady is knob and the chefs are arses. i once saw them put a steak in the deep fat fryer that someone compalined was not cooked properly
- O'este is an up its own arse Mediterranean-ish restaurant which used to be the infamous cricketers pub. Since opening it seems to have failed to iron out many teething problems. I’ve heard lots of bad reports of the kiddie staff members who forget to take orders and leave you waiting at your table etc. Food is average. They have a big flashing blue tree outside now to attract attention to the place.....and a big flat screen TV in the 'bar' with crap music channels on. Classy ;-)
- one word, marmaris! THE nicest home made chilli sauce i have ever tasted and there is even an everton fan who works there!
- MAMARIS GREAT PIZZA!
- All pubs do 2 4 1's n shit but wouldnt recommend the Irish Bar as Sarah smack rats mum works there. Would you eat if Janet (Golden) was cooking? Best bets are Styles, Gregs the bakers, Buck Ith Vine
- The Accropolis chippy do the best chips
- The Little Italy! Best goddamn pizza place in the whole of ormy, garlic bread with cheese like you'd never beleive! Kebab & Pizza!! Second best pizza place!
- kebab shop,yummy rat kebabs
- wans is great and ko wah on county road is an unknown treasure!
- Hampsons and sayers can BUM OFF! its greenaugh's all the way! ALSO! if youre thinking of going to Subway for some E-number enriched shite then, FOR GODS SAKE DONT! Get yourself a chicken and stuffing sarn from D.C scotts, TRUST ME! Just try it one time.
- JANGLES CAFE, IN INDOOR MARKET THE BAR DU FAY , THE CAFE BAR ON DERBY STREET TAYLORS CAFE,
- Kebab house, marimas, mcdonalds, and for the more upmarket theres the acropolis
- acropolis is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Acropolis chicken kebab
- McDonalds for a hangover breakfast (where else in the world is the food as shit as you feel?)
- Left Bank is good food with some deals available. Passage to India is very nice.
- Taj Mahal and Bengal Balti are no longer there also Pacinos has a diffeent name.
- For an Indian try the Passage To India on Moor Street for a fantastic curry. The kebab house on the end of Church Street is good. Kershaws prawn cocktail from the chap who comes into the pubs is brilliant too. I haven't yet had a proper spring roll from a Chinese restaurant. Having said that though, the ribs in a BBQ suce are to die for.
- subway
- pizzas from mamaris *dont touch the doners from there!* no where in ormskirk really does a good doner though, it is an area for improvement!
- java cafe dead nice juices
- Peacock Inn (Near Styles) - a chinese restaurant good service & food
- Acropolis chippy opposite the Safeway. Le Frog and better still the Cafe Bar for good deals
- Cafe Bar cant go wrong, Slim Jims, Acropolis all gud
- West Bank is a good and reasonably priced restaurant.
- The cafe bar, good food, really cheap(happy hour 5-6pm pizza/pasta £3.25), a very lively restaurant with a great wine bar upstairs!!!
- kebab & pizza house is best take away up church street followed closely by Pacinos on St Helens rd. best place in the day is Hales chippy up burscough street
- THE CAFE BAR, 36 DERBY ST. THE BEST PLACE TO EAT OUT IN ORMSKIRK!!
- Maccy D's! It finally arrived after years of rumours and I don't know how I coped before!
- PACINOS! I live above it and they are good lads, free chips for being a regular customer! Acropolis of course and the Mecca that is the EARL OF SANDWICH, best sarnies in the Western world. And the girl behind the counter is tasty too.
- Slim Jims, a locally owned place, is the best food in town with a great atmosphere. Comedy nights and live jazz there too. Can get too hot though and if you finish your meal then you are a hero cos they give you loads!
- The Acropolis
- Slim Jims Jazz Cafe- Live Music on the Weekends - cheap food during the week
- Several excellent Indian restaurants. Passage to India, Taj Mahal and Bengal Balti are all superb. Le Frog is very popular. Also try Slim Jims. For a Fish and Chip feast, go to Hales on Burscough Street
- hopefully a McDonalds
plus few resonable take aways.
