Where to go to get down

You can tell us more about Ormskirk.

Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars
  • Wipe your feet on the way out of Arriba. Oh an get a new DJ too. That blonde spikey hair permi tan over 30 DJ they have (wed nights) is crap. Stop tryin to hang on to your youth mate! Its over!
  • the best post club chillout has to be the horse shoe with its smart ibiza style crowd and extended terrace to the rear is just like cafe mambo MAGICAL..........THE HORSESHOE IT WILL ALWAYS BE WITH YOU......... Also two tellies has never been seen relaxing and chilling out in here..bonus
  • If you actually want an laugh go to - Styles for some sweet ass shots (best squashed frogs in town), the Golden Lion for staff totty and cheap beer and vodka, the queens head to lugh at the landladys knob head of a son, ditto at the windmill (how hard is tony with his sunbed tan) and if you want to laugh at the shittest djs go to arriba, wont play a request, never heard of decent tunes and are generally pricks.
  • ariba is one of the best bars in ormskirk, if you don't like it and put that it is rubbish then why do yougo? The people who drink their are locals who like it local, you can go on your own and still meet people you know. the manager is ian and he seems very fair and if you don't like him its prob cos he threw you out for looking underage! how right you know i am! all the bar and bouncers are pleasant and the music is okay most of the time
  • The arriba is full of little kids and fellas who think they are hard. ian gordon is a total prick, he heard me talking about my gcse resultsa and told me i could come back the next week as long as i kept my mouth shut about my age. you can't get a job in there unless youre a snotty fucker and size 8 or less.
  • Arriba was open the latest until finally a decent bar got a 2am licence. Namely the Styles. They arent using yet but I bet that Ian 'Can't Fight Won't Fight' Gordon aint to chuffed that Styles have a later licence. Lets hope Arriba don't get a 2am licence just to bring Ian 'Mummies Boy' Gordon down a peg or two. Rumour has it that Ste Taybarn & Miff are going to be his new doormen lol.
  • Arriba - the last resort after missing the last train or bus to somewhere. Why anybody chooses to go to University in Ormskirk I'll never know. As for Ian Gordon what a misfit..
  • Arriba rocks, you go there see everyone you know and can socialise with most people in there. Even the bar staff. Normally (if you're a local) you can go on your own and meet people you know.
  • Arriba bar...Ian Gordon, owner of; the biggest tie, the worst fitting suit, the softest bunch of willy chewing side kicks, the most useless door bitch/men in England, and the most rediculous fake scouse accent this side of bootle!!thinks that by hanging around the arriba door of a night time like a cheap hooker, he can make it look like he owns the place!! The fish market next door should expand and take over the arriba. Then everyone, including the edge hill college students, who constently need a disciplinary beating from us locals will have a better night out!!
  • Well I wouldnt call it a club but its about as close as it comes. Your guarenteed a good night here if you like being bossed about and sworn at by the doormen for blinking. The geezer who runs the place thinks he's running funky buddah or the met bar and if you like mixing with remarkably young patrons than this is your place, if your young and pretty youll get in. cheap voddy redbulls though!!!
  • ariba is the best pub about, well managed, young crew with great staff lovely environment and lots of gorgeuas men! open till late, drinks offers every night and also available for private hire! lovin it! drank there for 5 years!
  • Arriba is the closest thing you will get to a club in ormskirk but the manager is a complete tosser and still lives with his mummy! He's in competition with tony (2 tellies) from the windmill, which one is the biggest gansta of the 2 hey?! Dizzis is cool and styles is ok!
  • ariba, its the only place that is open past 11
  • Only really know bout comerades and arriba... loada crap tho
  • The Plough 'seemed' like a nightclub on a sunday morning
  • We learned quite soon, that there were few places in Ormie that would fulfill our nighttime needs. Ormskirk is the land of the house party.
  • Arriba is the closest thing to a club. Styles has music occasionally but is more of a bar.
  • ARIBA !! - gauranteed to pull!!!!!
  • Arriba in Ormskrik, great Bar with up to date Funky House and the latest RnB. Excellent drinks offers; 241s most nights and £1 a drink on a Wednesday Night! Be there!
  • arriba well the place shuts at 1am, the music isn't great go into liverpool only place with decent music!!
  • arriba if its big enough to be called a club? although they are triyng to drag up its reputation and started banning trainers, so its no longer possible to stagger there from the lion after planning a 'quiet drink' before a mammoth session
  • Remarkably young patrons in the arriba and remarkably young manager who insults older customers because he wants to be the main man in town unfortunately hes the main tosser, with his hangars on
  • Ariba
  • There is the Arriba, but I wouldnt recommend it
  • There isn't a club, it's Ormskirk. The locals wouldn't allow it and I can't blame them. Ariba is great on Wed, Fri and Sat. Fri and Sat is 2-4-1 B4 9pm.
  • Arriba with its new paint job and conservatory's (greenhouses) this place is still the same busy packed full of birds but doesnt quite work.
  • arriba (poo), The venue (even pooer). For that extra £5 each, you could travel into liverpool or preston which is much better
  • Arriba has a small dance floor, but is far from a club. Open later than the pubs. Full of people getting their first pub/club experience. Train to Liverpool or bus/cab to Southport for clubs.
  • Arriba is too small and the atmosphere isn't very friendly. Don't go there!
  • Arribaa is cool on a wednesday (cheep drinks) other than that its mainly Disralies up Church St or Styles on Wheatsheaf Walk
  • if u can call it that Arriba nxt to the indoor market opposite iceland
  • ha ha you must be joking, a club in Ormskirk? Arribba is the closest your going to get really but its generally full of local tossers who think they are hard
  • Ariba, Disraelis, The Styles are best
  • A 30 minute bus ride to Wigan pier. Friday night is techno.
  • the residents won't allow it
