Does this affect you? What do you make of it? Cannabis has been reclassified to Class B drug, pushing it back up the scale, perhaps back where it belongs. Drug dealers have responded by pushing up prices to mark the enhanced status of the illicit drug and reflect the current world economic crisis. As the drugs profile has been enhanced by this move dealers are now targetting the middle classes. This is in part a response to the global credit crisis hitting the poorest most vulnerable in society... if you're already shopping at Aldi you cant cut back any further! 10 year old Emma has had surgery for Scoliosis and is now campaigning to raise awareness of the condition and for all children in the UK to have the very simple 'bend forward' test to get an early diagnosis of Scoliosis. She has an online petition at http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/start-testing-for-scoliosis-in-schools. Emma is aiming for 1000 signatures and currently has just short of 300... I'd like to see this figure go through the roof!!! This is an issue close to my heart as my son was diagnosed with adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis at 16 and had surgery last november when he was aged 18 and a half. Many thanks! We often hear about foreign countries needing help in one way or another and many are quick to jump to do their part. The time has come however where the need is much deeper, much closer and more serious than before. The time is now and the place is here at our very own doorstep. It is understood that not everyone may be in a position to lend a helping hand due to own personal or financial cir cumstances. It is understood that many may have joined certain organisations (as this one) so to gain friendship, fellowship, status or even recognition in their own right and at one point had every intention of helping if the time should come yet have fallen short of doing so when the such time actually came due to whatever reasons there may have been. It is understood that some may even have forgotten what it�s like to be in need, desperate and vulnerable or have just had the good fortune to never be in such a predicament. I understand and I accept all the above. So now I ask you understand this; Our Country has been under attack, not by a foreign invading force nor terrorists or war but by nature itself. Many thousands of families across the country have lost everything they owned, jobs, homes, loved ones, their entire lives washed away, torn from them without mercy. We, people of goodwill are responsible to do what ever we can to help and support those in need wherever we possibly can.
