You can tell us more about Pelsall.

Pubs
  • The Queens, Railway
  • Railway Inn. Friendly pub... huge portions of food... my great grandfather Thomas Barnard is said to haunt the place... (he had some fun with a barmaid in about 1946 when he was in his 70s... does anybody know the barmaid's name?)
  • The Block and Chopper
  • Railway Inn in Pelsall. Smashing cheap and cheerful bar meals in a comfy friendly atmospher e.g. Massive mixed grill £3.99, all main courses £2.99 If you are on your own dont worry. Grab a pint and a book- there are plenty of them in the lounge to browse through. p.s. get there early on a Sunday, sometimes its difficult to get through the front door due to horses being tied up outside and blocking the entrance - seriously. Old House at Home have a cracking curry night on a Wednesday. Smashing all round menu and cheapest beer in Pelsall. Always guarenteed a warm welcome.
  • Royal Oak is best for food, The Block and Chopper best for a fight, The Railway is best for the "you're not from round here" look from the regulars, The Bush best for a peaceful pint & The Red Cow best for getting hammered in
  • The cow (if u like fightin) The Bush 4 a posh meal The cricket and sports club 4 a social drink The labour club 4 an 80 yr old prossy The block n chopper 4 the hard ones of u
  • The Bush has been REFURBISHED RECENTLY AND DOES A REALLY NICE SUNDAY LUNCH!!! ITS RIGHT NEXT TO THE PELSALL VILLA GROUND ASLO CALLED THE BUSH
  • THE CHOPPER FOR A FREINDLY CROWD AND PINT
  • YES THEY SERVE CHILDREN AT THE AGE OF 13
  • the pub The Spotted Cow is actually called the red cow and you are not guaranteed a fight in the block and chopper
  • Hi, I e-mailed you a while ago to put right your opinion on the Block & Chopper. For nearly two years now I and my family have been the licensee of the the pub and I have to say that the "fight every night" is an unfair comment. Though I appreciate in the past the pub has had a reputation this is no longer the case, sadly those who never drink in here are the worst culprits for spreading the rumours. We actively seek new drinkers into a pub where be it solo drinker family group or a bunch of people having a night out, treat our pub with respect and you will definatly get a warm welcome here. We also now do food, hold themed evenings, entetainment nights and kids parties at Halloween, Easter and Christmas Eve, but don't take my word for it pop in and make up your own mind. Traci, Barry and Matthew.
  • Hi, just wanted to update you on the Block & Chopper, we took over this pub 18 months ago with trepidation due to its reputation, and though i've no doubt in the past it did deserve it, the comment a fight a night is no longer a fair pint. We now have food on, entertainment and though the bar remains sacrosanct we encourage family groups to use our newly decorated lounge and garden, don't listen to the others come and make your own mind up.
  • The Old Bush was better from 1985 to 1995, prior to its' running down after "sour-faced Mick left". Now too pompous & trendy.
  • The newly refurbished Old Bush on Walsall Road is nice. You wouldn't recognise it if you'd ever been in the old one! The Railway on Station Road is also okay for a quiet pint, but I'd avoid it on Sunday lunchtimes due to the amount of sweaty footballers in there.
  • BLOCK AND CHOPPER FULL OF SCUM AND TOSSERS.
  • Old house at home is a good pint of Banks's, though a bit pricey. Scratter clubis cheap un cheerfull, with a bostin pint of Highgate!
  • Block and Chooper guaranteed a fight a night!
  • The Block and Chopper, High St. The Royal Oak, Norton Lane. The Bush. The Spotted Cow. The Free Trade. The Old House at Home. The Railway. The Swan. All small friendly places with good food. There are two social clubs too.
