- apart from Jukebox music, the only entertainment in Penistone centre happens on a weekend. The Rose and Crown generally has a disco playing chart and some 80's and 90's stuff fridays and saturdays with the occasional band on a sunday. The Spread Eagle usually has Karaoke all weekend and The Old Crown has a disco again with chart music but a bit more dance on a friday and saturday.

- NON Penistone is closer to village scale rather than Town so nightlife tends to move out of the pubs into the larger towns and cities, the leadmill in sheffield is pretty good and Corporation is well very cheap and very ammusing.
- there was one culb but its now had to close due to funding it was the peniston working mans club shadley missed by the old ones.
