• Come on kids have you got no imagination? Tony Hawk told you, you must ride skatepark? There's plenty of little spots in and around Penistone. Firstly the methodist church behind the Police station is a good spot with a beginner's driveway and some low ledges. Also just across the road from the Little Chippy (nxt to the White Hart) is a perfectly laid road with a natural driveway near the bottom. There's plenty more (eg the School Gym steps line) but I'm not giving them all away! So come on youth get searching and don't let street skatin die.......

• OK since a new skatepark has been built in penistone well thats the place to skate. Its smaller than Sheffield but for a small rural town its quite ideal. Though they are quite a few young kids who tend to cut across the park. Street skating is quite limited as again Penistone is quite small though it does have quite a large young skater crowd i.e 8-16. Most of the older skaters have moved into Sheffield or gone away to uni.
• Kids have been spotted skateboarding in the Community Centre carpark, which is a bit slopy in places. Also down Shrewsbury Road, which is a busy main road.
