- go to the vic....just refurbed ...great landlord ( northern twat!) but great s.o.h...
- The Victoria Inn has changed hands (as of July 2005). The new landlord has been doing a sterling job. Big renovations, big change of attitude and considering he is from "up t' north" has done very , very well.
- jane + mike riley from blackburn are now running the vic. they are trying to turn the place around and giving the old queen vic a face lift - it's a load more welcoming than it used to be!! nice beer garden in the summer eves. clientelle is also much improved!!
the bar at the millenium centre is still like a doctors waitin room and geared more towards the lager swilling / red bull generation.
- Go to the victoria inn !!!! the landlord's a nutter ...good ale & great craic! taken over by some northern folk with "A" star taste in music superb digi jukebox great outdoor seating with music piped out...live gigs soon...........oh & it's clean...
- The Caradon / The Vic - like the local shop in league of gentlemen... full of local colour (well caucasian farmers)
- My wife are Americans. We visited Pensilva because my Great Grandmother once lived there. We went to the Victoria Inn and found the atmosphere to be wonderful. I got a lesson in hand-drawn ales from one of the locals. He said to avoid that "fizzy American stuff." We found the people to be very pleasant. They had a small town charm, and they were very friendly. Cheers
- The Millenium Centre bar is no longer a club but licence has been changed to a pub. This means the beer has gone up and there is still no oak panelling. Still cheaper than your average pub though.
- The Vic is the only one in the village, currently in the hand of George and Cleo. It's changed hands so much I get dizzy. The old haunts have lost it.
- Best time to visit the Bar in Milleneum house is Happy hour!!! Cheap beer
- There is a pub in Pensilva, it sells beer and that's about all you can say about it. Oh, they don't do food. The Millenium Centre has a members bar where the beer is very cheap (get some oak panelling and a wood fire and you'll have a real pub there).
- Victoria Inn now run by Cleo & George formerly of Launceston.
