Does anyone have any memories of the old RAF Station, closed in the 70's? I lived there as a child in the 50's. It would be great to hear from anyone else who was there. It was a very happy community, and we had so much freedom.

It is such a long time since I lived in Pershore but I do remember it as a lovely town. I went to Pershore Infants school I think it was Head St? and then the Junior school next to it, or behind it.
Are they still there? I remember going with the class to the Abbey to collect leaves - we had to put them in a scrap book and label them...
Please tell me if the schools I went to are still there. thanks all!

    Hi Paul, if you are still in the area can you tell me what happened to the site where the RAF camp used to be?
    My dad was based there and we lived in the married quarters. I expect it's all gone now.
    Maybe a big Tesco there now? thanks.

I was at Besford Court School from about 65 to 69 my mother ann worked as a cleaner and we both lived in at the school,there was a major fire about 68 or 69 and we left soon after this ,I am 48 now so I remember two names stephen lewis and malcolm Atherton who i played with a lot , I was known as anthony then and was always tree ciimbing and climbing the bars which were there for years,if anyon... more >>
