• Perth probably has more hostels per capita than any other town in Scotland, or possibly the world - which is probably why we have more jakies, drunks, beggars, whores and comic singers than anyone else as well. If you fall into the afore-mentioned category, please try Aberdeen. Or Glasgow, or St Kilda or, and this is really radical, get a job. But if you pitch up here in genuine need, there is the very nice Sally Army Hostel in Skinnergate, off the High Street or, God help you, the Waverly hotel on the Glasgow Road side of town.
• salutation hotel was really quite good, only one waitress with a crap attitude problem. rest of staff daed good.\ especially a brill old dear (maggie) that can let you know where all the top totty spots are and cheap drinking places. Nice claen hotel.
