- ok here's the deal...you'll have more fun at a retarded midget convention than you will in Perth. Don't waste your time goin out there unless being abused by minks is what you look for in a night out. Go to Dundee, Glasgow or Edinburgh instead, there's less chance of being stabbed in those places. Ice Factory - best club in Scotland...piss off.
- Disco night at Sportsters on a Friday is fun, the male dancers in tight jeans have to be seen to be believed! 6 foot 3 inches of burning love!
- They're all crap - go dancin in Bar Quba behind Brennans instead. Take your beer goggles too - many a lonely munter in there waiting for some young tyke to pull
- The Ice Factory has recently been totally refurbished, 3 fantastic new rooms; Casbah (laid back Maroccan atmosphere) Funky (lounge culture with funky house djs) Ice Factory (main room - miami style. Ice Factory best club in Scotland 2000 now look for the awards to roll in for 2004. Once again the team have set the standards for others to follow. Check it out!!
- Whispers - Good laugh on a thursday but wouldn't reccommend it if your much over 18. Most people who go to Whispers go because they know most people there - not a place to go if you are just visiting. Ice Factory - recently refurbished. Kasbah plays hiphip, Funky plays dance/house, and Upstairs is your chart/poppy stuff. Really depends on your taste but can be a good night out... if you are quite young. City in Sportsters for the older peeps. They have the boogie express on a Friday night - brilliant 70's music! Also try LOFT up the stairs in That Bar - small place but dj will play anything you request and the crowd are usually nice and friendly.
- Sportsters (21-40's)
The Ice Factory (young plus VIP lounge for older)
Cupids/now another name (young)
- There are no good nightclubs in Perth. If you are going clubbing, do yourself a favour and go to Edinburgh or Glasgow instead.
- The ice factory is awrite if you dont mind beeing crushed or stood on but in its defence it normally produces some top totty. sportsters is alright if you want to dance to the same stuff as you mum and dad did or if you want to grab a granny, its meant to be over 21s, yeah right, i seen my brother and his 16 year old mates walking straight passed the bouncers. as for the rest of perths premier night life we have electric whispers(aka currlys) and quite frankly i wouldnt bother wastin your money
- curly lloyds is good for the ned variety and for getin ur arse groped by losers!
- I reckon that the Ice Factory is a better night out than in Dundee all they can get into the Circus is Don Diablo and he isnt much to write home about. The atmosphere at Rhumbas is fantastic ok it isnt as electric as it used to be but it is still a top night out and i know that many agree with me. ok its steep occasionally ot get in but there are always folk kicking around the pubs offering cheap passes and it is definately much better than bloody Sportsters thats like grab a feckin grandad!!!
- CITY - Perth's newest niteclub upstairs from Sportsters. Only lets in over 21s apparently but its better than sharing the Ice Factory with a bunch of neds who are particularly baby-faced
- OK well there may be 3 clubs but there's only really one worth going to:
CITY - Known to most people as Sportsters, this is truly fabulous!! The cheesiest nights in Perth but with so much class! Its brand new and well smartly decorated, and you're not gonna bump into your wee sister's mates cos its all over 21s (excellent pulling potential!). Thursdays is £4, Friday is £5 I think for the legendary 60s & 70s Disco Night and Saturdays is £7 not too bad.
ICE FACTORY - Thought this club was the bees knees until they opened City. Remarkably young patrons with white boots and skirts up to their armpits in the bathroom. FULL of dodgy men with bad breath and dress sense who insist on shoving their hand down your top if you so much as look at them!
CURLY LLOYD'S - Just don't!!!! I thought this was the bees knees til I discovered the Ice Factory. Your feet WILL stick to the floor, you WILL get a fag burn on the dancefloor, you WILL get high by breathing in the bathroom for too long and they WILL play Sk8er Boi at least twice a night. Last time I was here I bumped into my wee sister's best friend. My wee sister is 15. AVOID!!!!
- The infamous Ice Factory. I think that this place is a far cry from what it is cracked up to be. T'was voted no.1 club in Scotland last year and yes, the layout is smart enough but the crowd are somewhat cleekish. Worth checking out although a better night can be found in Edinburgh or glasgow....Even Dundee!!
- Go to Glasgow or Edinburgh. Ice Factory good for a giggle to see Perth's trendy Wendys trying to lap it up. Oh and it's a rip off - £8 to get in for a Sat night
- ICE FACTORY IS SUPERB ON RHUMBA NIGHTS BUT THE REST OF THE TIME ITS SHIT,,,IF YOU FANCY A NIGHT OUT WITH THE CONSTANT FEAR OF BEING STABBED THEN GO TO CURLY LLOYDS
- Curly Lloyds - yeah it sucks but at least the battle of the bands is helping the local music scene
- Local Dialect: "Ice Factory man, it's well shite but aw cunts goin man!" There's only one club in Perth now anyway, so you're better off just staying at home.
Or alternatively if your under 15 DJ Rosey Specs'll take you back to his place and play you a few Bass Generator Tapes in exchange from some cider!
- Wildlife - a part of the Ice Factory - is just class!! The place is absolutely on fire for the last half hour on Saturday nights!! The Rhumba pulls in some of the best DJs in Britain - Pete Tong is playing at the next one - don't knock it till you've tried it!!
- RHUMBA FEVER...HERE WE, HERE WE, HERE WE F****** GO!!!!!!
- The Ice Factory of Rhumba every 4th Friday. Its turd.
- The Ice Factory on Shore Road is brilliant!
- most of Perths interesting clubs burnt down in the early 90's. The riverside got flooded, which was in it's heyday in the grunge period. nowadays there is the ice facory, not sure if electirc whispers is still on the go. in other words, a bit lame
