- The new Perth concert hall, great venue hopefully atract some good bands.
- The Proclaimers played at the City Hall once.
- Barcode - tiny place, bit cramped and it can get far too hot but they do pull in a lot of the local bands - tends to be aimed at the younger 'mosher' crowd though. That big music hall is getting built behind markies - It looks pretty weird though!
- The Twa Tams deserves praise, because it is the only pub in Perth that regularly puts on live music THAT DOESN'T SOLELY CONSIST OF COVER VERSIONS (oh yeah, lets hear 'Brown Eyed Girl' covered badly.....AGAIN!). It is one of the few places in the city where a bit of creativity isn't frowned apon.
- Brenans sometimes produces good bands.
- clearwaters
- City Hall - attracts the likes of Fun Lovin Criminals, Hue & Cry and erm...Eddi Reader
- Mucky Mulligans does some good live music, Curly's has Battle of the Bands but do't go unless you're desperate. Apart from that, there's a really good sax player who busks outside BhS who's the best musicias Perth has to offer.
- Mucky Mulligans on a Wednesday night always has a fresh good band on. Open late too
- TWA TAMS AND NOWHERE ELSE
- the PLOUGH IN every other weekend!!!!!!!!!!! their gigs rock but i wouldnt turn up on time as usually u have to wait about an hour b4 they let u in.
- Plough Inn - thanks to Barry & Mikey from unit31 studio in almondbank
- Ugly face-on-the-radiator-too-long, Kurt cobains not dead- it's all just a big conspiracy boring drony grunge cover version bands your thing? Well tough, that's all you're going to hear in Perth anyway. Try The Grill or The Tams for some instant ear torture.
- Many a famous band started out in the Tams !
- Twa Tams or Muckys
- Perth city hall
