Cinemas
- Avoid avoid avoid the Showcase Cinema in Peterborough. It's not been refurbished since it opened in the 80s and I bet the floors haven't been washed since either, you stick to the floors from all the overpriced popcorn and drinks sold there.
Drive 20 minutes to Huntingdon Cineworld and enjoy watching your film in comfort.
- The Glass Onion movie nights. films played on our large projector every Sunday. Public vote from top class movie selections
- The Showcase is okay, mainly for the food. Bit expensive though. And they swapped Ice Junkies for Ice Blasts. They might be the same but so what, Ice Junkies were still better.
- showcase cinemas cause i work there.risky though cause of increased car crime.
- showcase in boongate great place to rob cars
- I remember when there were two cinemas in Peterborough - the Odeon and the ABC, just past the market. It was my son's birthday and we queued up for hours when the first Star Wars film came out at the ABC because it was his birthday present. Then they built the multiplex and shut both those cinemas so we couldn't get to the multiplex because I couldn't drive and there were no buses out that way. I moved out of Peterborough at the end of the 80s and have only been back a few times since then on very short visits, so I don't know whether there are any out there now.
- showcase is a joke. stupidly expensive and poor facilities. massive though. broadway cinema (in the former odeon) is swanky, only 1 screen though. bowling alley in town (lakeside superbowl) is massive and serves vodka/slush puppie! also an older bowling alley in north bretton which is much better, and has a decent pub inside. i woulda thought they can build something nice at the new hampton development
- showcase multiplex big and gettin on a bit, dire need of refurbishment, too expensive. broadway only has 1 screen but its the biggest in UK outside london. better off travelling to the one in huntingdon (UCI i think) is much much better
- Showcase is at Fengate. Shows all the big releases, but a car is a neccesity to get there and it ain't cheap.
Broadway on Broadway, near town. Show some biggies. Tastefully decorated.
- 2 good cinema's Showcase, 13 (at least) Multiplex cinema just out of town or the Broadway in town, limited no of films, but nice and new with a huge screen
- there is a secondcinema, the broadwaay, a nice place. i came on here looking for the phonenumber!
- Cinemas? You mean cinema! That showcase really needs to move out of the 80s.
- Money grabbing scum at the Showcase so if you dont want to spend 500 quid give it a miss.
- Showcase cinemas multiplex.
- showcase cinema...ice junky heaven
- nice bowling alley.
- Massive, excellent Showcase Cinema. We have a bowling alley, ice skating and Quasar.
