Live Music Venues in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire*

Live sounds in a garage, pub, park or stadium

You can tell us more about Peterborough.

Live Music Venues
  • The Glass Onion, undoubtadly the best live music spot for friday nights in Peterborough!
  • Lisboa (24 Lincoln Road) has become a good venue for live music in 2006 - ultra friendly and laid back attitudes from punters and staff and really diverse mash-ups of music. check out Unity, which runs there every Thursday night
  • met lounge
  • The Met Lounge, The Fidds, POS2.
  • We now have Broadway for music bands but sadly hardly any of the new bands but do a great host to older bands from 50's to mid 90's the list of bands already played there goes on from Deacon Blue, Smokie, Paul Young, Slade, Jimmy James and the Vagabonds, Foundations, Hot Chocolate, Bad Manners (Tony Hadley, ABC, Shelia Ferguson to play there soon). Crescent also have older bands/acts like Gene Pitney, Showaddywaddy, Hank Marvin. But Embankment has seen Busted, Will Young and Blue now as for newer, some older acts and up and coming bands go to Park or Met Lounge. They have had in past Cooper Temple Clause, Rooney, Verve, Hugh Cornwall (ex Stranglers), Specials, Bluetones, Mark Jospeh, Darkness, Wheatus and loads more
  • MET LOUNGE
  • old still
  • the park and the met lounge occasionally get some decent bands. battle of the bands hosted at fiddlers elbow can serve up some treats. for big names usually means a travel to cambridge corn exchange, for the biggest have to go nottingham ice arena or even NEC or london
  • the park and the met lounge get some semi famous names in both are crap dingy venues though
  • Chequers, Orton Wistow;
  • Club With No Name: Upstairs at the Park on Thursdays and some Sundays, attracts some remarkably good bands. POS2 upstairs at the Park. Plays a fairly good mix of Rock, Ska, Punk, Metal etc. Over 16's allowed so there ARE some remarkably young patrons. Runs on 1st Friday and 2nd and 3rd Saturdays of every month. Shakeout: Thursday nite Punk nite at Fiddlers Elbow on King Street. Blackout: Friday nite metal/alternative nite at Fiddlers Elbow. Cheap drinks promos all nite and buy one get one free for an hour and a half. Fiddlers also hass gigs on most Saturday nites. Met Lounge: A la POS2 and Fiddlers, but plays a lot of Indie. Usually big f off que to get in and its not that good really.
  • For clubbing type music - Cafe en Seine, for the alternative Fiddlers elbow, may be bands coming to the Broadway eventually
  • Willow festival - who cares if you've never heard of any other bands before?!
  • The Met Lounge on thursday nights and the occasional saturday, The Park on fridays, Where else in England can bands such as ELLEN BRODY headline reguarly.
  • The Norfolk on Lincoln Road & Cherry Tree, on Oundle Road both have local bands regularly.
  • The Willow Festival.A three day free event showcasing 120 bands on six stages.Held on the Peterborough Embankment every June.Loads of great bands, funfair, booze, stalls etc.
  • The Met Lounge when theres someone playing but since the Crown on Lincold Rd has shut and the owners did a runner it is shit at the moment.
  • Crown pup has gigs nearly every weekend and around the middle of July there is a misic festival for the punk rock veriation.
  • Cafe en Seine, it's apparentley been open over a year now. I cannot think of another venue that has given so much to young people like myself - it's a venue with two floors which is unheard of on the Broadway and unlike Quo, has class and bartenders who know what they are doing. Give us more like it.
  • key theate at willow fest
  • Crown Pub,Live Punk to Rock! Knowhere Representing the Hip Hop Scene yet.
  • Lime tree Oundle road:live music
  • Embankment but not used often
