The places where you buy your music

You can tell us more about Peterborough.

Record Shops
  • No more Red Hot Records but you can still buy vinyl at cheap prices in the spin-off store st TRADE STATION, WINDMILL ST, PETERBOROUGH along with cd's, dvd's & other bits & bobs
  • absolutely no good record shops in peterborough if you're looking for good old hardcore, drum n bass, techno and old skool. Try Nottingham, but not Leicester as they are now going with the mainstream rnb crap
  • by far the best record shop in peterborough is RED HOT RECORDS who are in westgate arcade above SAKRA hair salon, they sell loads of cool stuff from t-shirts / bangles / patches & badges to the best in collectable cd's & records - you can even buy tickets for local gig's at the MET LOUNGE or THE PARK.
  • oxfam ha ha.
  • get your arse down to london as you can only buy crap in p'boro
  • not too many good uns since andy's records went years ago
  • Errr, last one we had shut down, but there is a good shop in Hereward arcade that sells house and trance on vinyl(!), and on Saturdays there is an alternative stall on the market that sells all kinds of stuff you've never heard of. Other than that its Virgin or HMV.
  • Vrgin just got a nu metal section so all the Cds are easier to find for hip hop theres a good stand on the market and all the big record stores have ok selection.
  • Positive Outlook the Punk Ska stool at the market on saturdays (Hi guys) they deserve a shout for what they have done for the Peterborough Punk scene!
  • Not much since Exit, exited. Check out Groove Records on the end of Lincoln Rd. Don't ask for anything too wikid and knowing though - it scares them. House On The Borderland stocks old records but the prices take the piss. The East Of England Car Boot on a Sunday is the bonafide place for picking up wedges of retro 12s.
  • HMV in town square and a new Virgin mega store
  • andies records buts gone now...
  • Vinal to U sells drum 'n' bass records along with other dance tunes
  • Gav's Stall PYC(peterborough youth Crew)Run.Representing Hardcore scene in the borough.
  • Unfortuanately Andy's Records closed down so we have to go to Virgin.
  • House on the Boaderland an excellent record shop full, of rare and hard to find stuff.
