You can tell us more about Peterborough.
Skateboarding Spots
- The new Stanground skate park that SYPG won funding for
- Whittlesey is the only decent park (RIP Y2SK8) (and lets face it its shit as well). The Royal is worth a go on weekends but any other time its a bust so don't bother. There's a block out the back of furnitutreland but get some big wheels cause the ground is ruff as your sister. How about the parnwell pyramid. Can be quite fun if half the bricks aren't missing. The ground is also ruff as you know who. Big up Pat McCoubrey and the PSM btw
- asda at night no people around makes a good spot 3 consecutive flatbank thingys and nice ground to bomb around. railway station carpark has a few rails and a 3ft road gap quite fun.Market car park v.fun to bomb from top in summer serious speed you shall gain lol.watch out for streetwardens whenever skating the city centre. BLU CR3W 05' peace.......
- THE SHOP @ Y2SK8 ! The only true skate shop in peterborough !!!
- the best place i have fopoundso far is the passport office it says no skateboarding but if you go on a sunday you wont get in trouble it has a 4 set of stairs and a 5 set and it has some waxed up floor dnno hw long it wud b ther tho it also has some like flatland area's
- You might not know but Peterborough skatepark will be closing down because the council have got permission to build houses in the area. So the new park is going to be a new one built a few miles from the current park. at the moment the main room is about 90ft long, the new warehouse at that the new park is set 290ft long so its going to be huge. There are plans to be a vert double the width of the one at the current one and will also have a 12 and a half ft rollin in the middle. there will also be a 5ft bowl. the street section will also be improved making it easier for less skilled people at there sport easier for them to use more variety. This is all i know about the new plans for the park, it should be the UK's finest.
- ROYAL is da bomb,if ur hatin on stairs then dont even step foot on dat concrete.
- Yaxley have a mini ramp and a small fun box
- Around the market is where most skaters tend to go
- Y2SK8 Parc has now got an extra 5000sq ft so it now totals 20'000 sq ft, the extension is dope so go check it out. Look for more changes in the near future.
- corby update: newly built chemist and ambulance station has well waxed curbs (me?),newly waxed high walls, flower beds, nice drop to ollie over flowerbed/bank, also huge bank leading up to a rail, conservative club around the corner (near boating lake) also has the slippiest wall in the world for grinds leading into their carpark- seems there's nothing to do but skate in corby (not complaining).
Spot2: the blindpark has wide and low steps for manuals, massive walls for drops and ,amazing benches for slides.
There is also an indoor loading bay by the bus station which is superb, though drops are high and the place smells of cat urine- has also become a dodgy place for thugs and homeless people now- so not as highly recommended. Festival Hall and swimming pool in town centre also boast 4 stairs each
- Skate park, Royal , Train Station , Stewart House , Bretton rails , Safeway , Market car park, Parmwell pyamid , Lido ledge , Asda car park , longueville scool , St Botolths school , WErrington school , Walton School to name but a few.
- you want to start at the Royol but you might want to ask for the passport office to passers by. Then try the double banks for some flippey action.Nice ledge at the new university and a huge set of steps at the Lido (outdoor pool)
There are many more but im sorry the are for the locals to know and for you to find out. Many spots are PSM only because we dont want our ledges messed up!
- Y2SK8 SKAYEPARK ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Werrington Sport centre skate part. Brand new!! Also Ken Stimpson Community School's a wicked place to skate!
