Pubs in Peterhead, Aberdeenshire*

The place to go for a lazy afternoon, pub quiz or last call

You can tell us more about Peterhead.

Pubs
  • Stacey frm west end is much nicer
  • Only good thing in peterheed pubs noo is the quine that works in the sands. Tidy!!
  • The Social Club located in the rear of the Main Stand in Balmoor Stadium!!!
  • Used to be WC Fields when the mighty ALIVE used to play there. Always ended up in fisticuffs though. Alive should re-form, better than any other crap on the go just now.
  • looking to mix with spotty faced teenagers...... the cube is the place to be.
  • West End karaoke when that Andy dude is no there. Scotcher, good beer garden shame about the inside decor.
  • We have toooooo many to count - almost outnumber the churches
  • the best pub is the palace hotel
  • The best pubs the toon ever had in my opinion were the naps, queens and the scotcher, but not many will remember those.the Queens shut must have been nearly 20 yrs ago and so did the naps. They put today's pubs in the shade by a long way
  • The best place to drink years ago was the palace, don't know what it's like now, moved away fifteen years ago to get away from stupid pratts like hp
  • The Hearts suffers from chronic oldness. Its cheap, and yes - nasty - but it has that certain 'glass-in-your-face' 'phoenix nights' charm about it, expecially when you see 'real characters' like Georgie Bremner sliding through his brylcreem dance manoeuvres, charming all the crusties with big toes and small falsers that gnash and click their way through the friday night's bingo-bash. Blue rinses never had it so good. Oh, but for the bar - the jukebox hasn't been updated for about six years. The official bar policy is to bring in your own cd, and they'll 'hold it' for you, and rake in the cash for all those mid-nineties classics they possess. Oh, pass the cue! Two shots. The Sands has a new jookbocks!! Its a touch screen thing and has uptodate choons. Sort of. Still, its the Dive on the Corner. The Saltire Bar. A.K.A. 'The Dungeon'. This is a regular postal worker's retreat. If you're wondering why your noody magazines, or weird sex toys haven't arrived in the post yet - go intrepidly down the dungeon, and ask where their 'toilet' is . . . you'll find out, boy. Baillies Bar. Well well. What to say? Go there on a Saturday night and the evening's entertainment comprises of working out how to steady the dilapidated tables (the tabletops aren't connected to their legs) and also how to dodge the storm of tumbleweeds that blow through from time to time. This place only gets busy when there's sport on the tv. Oh aye - they are 'down with the kids' by buying the Darkness first album, a tragically unhip year later that it was released.
  • i recomened you open your own pub it will be better than any pub in pfhd belive me
  • union and west end
  • Mayfair bar , fun pub on a thur, fri, sat and sun night. good bar staff and a good pint
  • MAMBOS IZ BRILL
  • Clerkhill Bin Min!!!
  • CATCH ELIZABETH BRUCE CARRYING CRABS
  • no decidnt ones here like i said b4 i prefer fraserburgh night life!
  • The person who said the Grange was a good place to see Rangers hump Celtic must have a very long memory! Place must be empty these past few years. By the way is the Waverley Bar still the "spiritual" home of Tims in the (unfortunately named) "blootoon".
  • peterhead pubs are full of tossers who think there sommit by wearing stone island clobber
  • Didn't like the comment about sphincters, table legs and Celtic fans (in the Conti). So, where's a bhoy to go when in the Blootoon? I used to go to watch Old Firm games in the Waverley Bar. The place was full of totally wasted Celtic and Rangers fans (I'd say 70/30 in favour of the Tims). No trouble - just liver failure and lung cancer through secondary smoking.
  • Love the Caledonian. Wow People can drink!!
  • peterhead is fucking shite mambo's is the biggest pile o shite ever
  • The best and most freindly pub you can go to in peterhead is actually 30 miles away in aberdeen, the ever growing list that is the pubwatch scheme would be a frightening thing for New York, let alone a town of 13,000 people.
  • The grange, for all your alcoholic needs. Careful you don't get pummelled into the road on your way out.
  • cum 2 the broch n check out the babez at the bellslea bar
  • Caley Bar, The giro Bank, get your giro cash and head for the caley and meet your social pals.
  • In the masons there is a certain somebody who is quite famous her name is Jimmy Hill. She sports the same chin but to her family she is known as Diane Milne.
  • WC FIELDS CALEY,STILL BANNED FROM THE PALACE(for over 30S AND CHIRRYS ONYWAY!!!) AND THE FAMOUS PASSIONS MIN
  • FRESH FACED,IVE SEEN SOME EMBRYOS IN WC FIELDS!
  • Phd has pubs. Thats it
  • the famous grange its a shithole and owner tina finnie knows it, shes had more staff than hot dinners the only one still there is fatty you guessed it melons melanie looks to bloated to pour a pint, and sits on her arse allday at hewdens dont make me sick, there is another fresh faced barmaid yes blonde hair and little come to bed eyes, she needs wakening up the dizzy munchkin, the best barmaids are in the football club the place to be cheers mary. see you all around in peterhead if you dare.
  • passion, cafe rio and vodka bar
  • The following peolpe need 2 get a life: kirstin martin, tiffany, becky cordiner, joanne emslie, leonie brembner, clare cardwell & all u other little sluts who walk the spinnin route every nite tryin t get a spin!!!!!!!!!! U BUNCH OF UGLY SLUTS NEED 2 GET A GRIP O YERSELS!!!
  • vodka bar during the week the palace stay away from the continental and the westend!!
  • Palace bar nice variety of ages (no under agers which makes a change in Peterhead) good range of beers staff very nice.
  • ALBERTS NO MORE WHAT A SHAME THE END OF AN ERA ALL THE BEST TO GLADYS AND ALBERT YOU WILL BE SORELY MISSED
  • Every town has it's gay bar - and ours is no exeption. Hosted by the entirely repellent Bernard Matthews, Bailies is the place for a cosy night with the boys.
  • CEASERS PALCE OR THE WC.FIELDS OF TEARS WHICH IS LOCATED RIGHT IN THE HEART OF THE TOWERHILL GANGLANDS.BE WARNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • CONTI- Hun pub, full of people to young-looking to get in anywhere else, so-called bouncer (Dangerous Daz) is a joke VODKA BAR- Shit music, shit drink, too crowded, too hot, bouncers are a bunch of wanks. FIELDS- One of the better pubs, however can sometimes attract some knob-ends. When Alive played was the best times but I think they have split now PALACE- Not to bad, full of old people though BIG G- Old folks home with sticky floor PASSION- SHIT HOLE! Should be burned down with the bouncers (same ones as Vodka Bar) still in it
  • PASSION AND W.C FIELDS
  • peterheaders are a a binch o poshers! fae a BROCHER!!!!!!! fuck u!
  • With quite an even ratio of pubs to churches in Peterhead you can be sure once you stagger out of the boozer late at night you will always find a nice warm church doorway to be sick into
  • The tavern smells old, good for a pint not a bird. Passion will never replace drummonds- the best bottler in town. Go to fields to c how many times u get banned for life- current record 27
  • Waverley has a good atmosphere, some of the punters are a bit young though. Palace is nice but bloody DEAR and it takes about 10 hours to get served.
  • You should try the Creel as the friendly people and staff would make you welcome. There are more genuine people in here than there are in much of this pretencous town.
  • There are a vast amount of pubs in Peterhead and your sure to find something to your liking there are bars that cater soley for the power drinkers but there are no high class bars though I must admit that The Grange is good for the football on the big screen especially when Rangers Hump Celtic
  • drink fae peterhead pubs tastes like piss
  • barnados
  • Well it's always been the same hasn't it? This is nothing new young people. Do you honestly thing you're the first to do naughty things. Sad. Pubs are pubs - West End, Waverley, Palace, Baillies, Pier II, Union Bar, Caledonian, Station, Creel, Mayfair, Clerkhill, Tavern, Waterside, Sands
  • ......CONTI.....
  • Conti=shit kindergarten, bob and sylvia are still there(says it all really) Palace=shit bands, crap pints, wait 3 hours to get served Waverly=shit music Vodka Bar=half decent, jackie"not at all crooked"steven runs it(so it's all above board!!) Elders=good juke box, can take ages to get served if jimmy is working-even then you dont always get what you ask for Mayfair=good juke box, CHEEP drink £1.10 for a pint!!, bit of an old mans pub though Scoth Corner=cheep drink, great kareoke, a little bit to close to fresh catch(smell of fish) West End=cheep drink, crap kareoke, frequented by psycopaths Ballies=shit for every thing The Creel=never been, never will either, alcoholics pub (allegedly) The Sands=full of old people trying to be young, women think its still ok to wear stilletoes and white jeans The Union=fantastic juke box, cheep drink, lock in until one, full of old people though W.C Fields=shit, not close to anything, have to get a taxi to and from it, crap music
  • Palace if you are over 30 or if you have a lot of money! Continental, WC Fields and Waverly if you are under 17, Creel, Harbour Lights Union if you are a bit shifty, Albert Hotel - the best place, friendly and the blokes buy you a drink cos they are gentlemen.
  • Who needs pubs.Just go for a drink a good old Clerkhill School
  • the west end is good for cheap drink on a friday and saturday between 8 and 9 pm.the kilmarnock arms in cruden bay is also good for cheap drinking but its even better if you want to get off with a married local.there is a big choice.most normal people just go to the palace and the vodka bar.
  • IF YOU WANT A GOOD NIGHT OUT IN PETERHEAD GO TO ABERDEEN
  • passion is pretty good. see me on the podiums, yeah baby!
  • Continental - One of the best pints in town and I'm a Conti regular and a Dons supporter.
  • Continental has a strict policy of NO TROUBLE MAKERS, unfortunately that makes it a target for bad publicity from SCUM that have been banned for life (and I've never seen a bar stool thrown anywhere). Bob is a likeable guy and gives pool lessons any night (Bob's the name - pools the game). They have the best quiz night in Peterhead - even the likes of us get a prize!!! Great place to stop off before going to Passion. 10 out of 10 rating from us.
  • best pub in peterhead - scotch corner!
  • conti(the crech) bailies(the old folks home) along with the scotcher. the waverly is good for a dance. granada is too crowded. passion kicks ass.apart from the fact that Gemma Forman makes an appearance now and then
  • The new Vodka Bar is alright, witness the hilarious sight of the DJ attempting to 'mix' trance cd's. The Scotcher ('Harbour Lights' my arse) has been the scene of some riotous Karaoke as of late, including Billy Sangsters nigh-ledgendary Doric version of 'Chocolate Salty Balls' The Union Bar, good for lock-ins and full of interesting people such as Pedro, Jimmy Wilde the Sex God, UVF bikers and a commando in a pastel sports jacket. The West End is a good place to get stabbed. Full of cretins. £1 a vodka on Fridays nights though. Shows Casualty on Saturdays.
  • The waverly is a popular place in Peterhead even though its full of old men (perverts) looking for some young girls to get their wicked way with.
  • The "Conti" must be the slackest pub in Peterhead, only under 18`s allowed exept during the week when they clean it out (only jokin). Owned by Bob Chalmers this short sighted, beer bellied barman will let anyone enter his "watering hole" as long as their willing to pay. (exept Bruce Wilby)this cheeky young chappy got one foot in and got thrown ten steps out.It is most advisable that if you are a celtic fan (boo) you should steer well clear of the "conti" unless you like bar-stools loged violantly up you sphincter.
  • Balmoor Social Club, affectionately known as "the Fitba Club" is usually jumping on match days. It's pretty cheap and is DEFINITELY the top venue for sparkling wit and expansive shite talking.
  • the conti is ace for a laugh and all the pretty people go to fields and everyone meets in the middle at the palace
  • WC FIELDS!
  • If one wanted to go on a pub-crawl. The best would be: WC Fields - Palace Hotel - Continental - Passion - Zanres.
  • The Palace, Continental, Pier II, Waterside, Flannigans...
  • Peterhead supports some nightlife, although there are not a lot of pubs and no nightclubs the nightlife can be quite good, the downside being that they all close far too soon.
  • The Palace Hotel
  • All the pubs in Fraserburgh are either old and in need of repair, refurnishing or demolition or are full to the brim of underage drinkers. For old crap pubs there is the Oak, Balaclava, Crown and others. For the other sort, there is the Ship and Cheers and others.
