Live Music Venues
- The Pavillion , The Junction , Tavistock Wharf is about a half hour drive out of Plymouth towards Dartmoor. Annabels , The White Rabbit Bretonside bus station ,rough as hell but have good bands and cheap drinks.
- best place is the eden project in cornwall have some good bands in the summer in a sureal setting
- OCEANA
- The Counting House, 2 St Andrew Street, Plymouth. 24 hour licenced bar, open mic on wednesdays, live music at weekends.

- The White Rabbit, in the bus station, the side furthest from staples, has exceptional live music, bouncers that actually allow u back in after taking a call, bar staff that will allow you to put ur drinks behind the counter, and oh yeah, a pole for dancing!!!! Also makes with the comfy sofa's so you dont have to stand around or attempt to 'dance' to enjoy the music.
- The Hub (behind Plymouth Pavillions) is a good place, cheap to get in and has had good local bands playing there for a few years. It has a fun atmosphere and the only place around Plymouth where you can see live bands a few nights a week.
Plymouth Pavillions is also getting better too and is attracting bigger bands.
- The Nowhere Inn, White Rabbit, The Junction, The Firkin Doghouse, The Seymour Arms, The Breton Arms, the b-bar, The Fortescue

- The Hub in Bath Street (behind the Pavilions). Quite a new Live Music Venue, but by far the best. The Cooperage, Junction, or Pheonix aren't in the same league. All the best unsigned bands play the Hub, and the best of local talent play there too.

- Pavillions! They ahve the big bands like Greenday coming.
- If you like good music (you know who you are) then the Quey Club monday/wednesday. Jazz cafe also good (guess what type of music).
- The Phoenix if you want decent local bands or the Pavillions get some good bands like Machine Head and Greenday.
- Pavillions and the Bus stop cafe are the only real venues

- Cooperage for classic Ska (Bad Manners, Selecter, Desmond Dekker, Too Hot). Pavillions for names (Travis, Manics, Motorhead). Dance Academy used to be just plain 'Academy', and hosted loads of Indie bands in the 80s. (Alien Sex Fiend to The Wedding Present).

- Tramps in the bus station... yeah, so what? But this is THE place for punk gigs in Plymouth.
- meatloaf played in plymouth just a few weeks ago! the pavillians is the nearest plymouth has to a music arena.
- Cooperage is the best most wickedest place eva far better than any other live venue in plymouth and since its been done up its even better...had my 18th bday in there...best nite of my life!
apart from that bands like hundred reasons, bowling for soup, spunge and lost prophets have played there...and garbage (well b4 they were famous!!) loads of tribute bands play there as well...if ur after a good nite out with live music and a friendly atmosphere this is the place to go.
- Joey the Lips at The Bank pub on royal parade. Regular slot!

- Kings head behind the old bus station. Great for ageing Janners!

- Aah, the demise of the Cooperage as it was. No more EasyNights no more of anything as it was. Who knows, with the change of owner it may eventually get back to its former glory. Respect to Dot for getting it to where it was.
