- Just like to say Plymouth is a f#*king rad place to skate... Loads of places to skate (even in the wet). Loadsa shops, etc. The main hook-up sites are at the "CiviC" centre - usually outside the courts. The "FlatSpot" skate shop which is owned by Nick... this is on the Barbican. And the "Sainsburys" car park (underground levels available if raining). Also "Westside School" is another place, skate comp. held there last weekend! (60 peeps+). There are no ramps that I know of as yet?? But there are places everywhere in Plymouth. Rareunit 16' wide midi and 8' wide mini on Plymouth Hoe has gone? Avoid Civic Centre (it's a £50 bust).
- THE SKATEPARK HAS BEEN BUILT!!!!! It is an indoor park which houses a large mini ramp, hip, bowled corner, flatbank with wallride, another flatbank with ledge and large platform for manuals e.t.c. There is a small driveway with a low straight grind ledge with the option of wallride on the other side of it. Next to it there is a large driveway with a Knee height block which runs across the flat part of the driveway. There is also an array of rails and grind boxes dotted around the park. Also a jump ramp and a small 1/4 pipe around waist height. Infront of the driveways there is a 1/4 pipe with an extension which has a couple of inches of vert. Facing these is a large roll-in.The park isn't quite finished yet there are still things being planned. There are many good transfers and loads of brilliant lines to be had. The park includes a cafe, pool tables and an upstairs spectator area. There is FLATSPOT skate shop on site and a binliner shop. Its members only, so if you are planning a visit ring Flatspot (01752 222213) to find out membership info. Its £3 for the day and £2 from 6pm - 10pm. Its open 7 days a week 10 to 10. Its located at Unit 12, 15 Clare Place, Coxside, Plymouth.
