- Great site... love it.... nice work!
- Talking of driving in Plymouth, yes its a nightmare having spent the last month intensively driving around the place but a big thanks has got to go to Ian Hunt, a great guy, who really helped get me through it all, well recommended and well tuned in. You can go to www.ianhuntschoolofmotoring.co.uk or search ian hunt on google for his contact details.
- Once saw some mad people throwing lettice at each other in the main street
- The quey club is actually really good and i dont appreciate it getting a bad rep. word!
- Don't ever wander near the central park toilets at night!
Every Swilly has an older brother!
The buses are always late!
- I've only just moved out of plymouth. Just wanted to say that everyone knows PINKY is the hardest guy in the city. Only he looks like a bender with a skinny frame and queer bobbed hair
- cud do with it being done up alot more...union street is just sooo rough its untrue...u really cant look people in the eyes when u walk down there.
The warner village has done a lot for plymouth and has provided a very much needed alternative to union street its not at all as rough as its more containable.
Hopefully when the mall is built in about 5 years time plymouth will be alot more respectable.
The bus station isnt the best first impression of plymouth either...its just not gud!!!
- A great Thai Restaurant (the Thai Palace) up on the Hoe
- Ok, been a janner for 30 years but where does the term originate?
- We need more stuff on local history! There are some good things happening in this. We have the Naval Base Museum, and the Plymouth City Museum. Lots of activity. We need to promote it more!
- The smell every tuesday/wednesday when drriford burn all the waste.
- HI MUMMY I LOVE U CAN I TELL U SUMMIT

- the best place in Plymouth to live is Efford, Its great.
- cheapest pack of mini cheddars
ummmmmmm best pint of stella
- Spoke to a bloke down there who'd once ate a cat.....need I say more!!!!
- Hedge Diving!!! After clubbing in Union st/ Candy Store ect.. Wander up through the subway of North Cross roundabout. Dive into the shrubbery! Meet like minded folk just by laying in the hedges, visit the burger van by the Taxi joint. Hide under the pine trees and scare people as they walk past by coughing loudly! The best post club entertainment in Plymouth.
- Plymouth is my home town and I love it still but it has been progressively shafted over the years by petty bureaucrats who can't be bothered to do their jobs.
All the factions (locals, students, matelows) that are the boiling pot of Union Street should either stop fighting when pissed or do it properly with some serious hardware (see links).
- i would definatley have to agree, bee, with the afore mentioned contributor that plymouth is an utter jannerdom of depression and despair, bee. what a pile of shit, bee, i have had the mispleasure of being there for two years and it just gets worse, bee.if all the scruffy janners would fuck off back to inbred land in their little holes, the whole place would be much nicer, bee. and why the fuck do they say bee after everything, and why do the women always threaten to smack you and why does every one do drugs?
why dont we just blow it up. and no, i dont know who your brother is so fuck off.
- some quality novas goin round!!!!!!!!!
- ANY ONE WHO SAYS PLYMOUTH IS SHIT CAN GO TO SWILLI AND SHOUT IT WITH A SIGN OVER THERE HEAD SAYIN ' I HATE PLYMOUTH'. BY THE END OF THE NIYTE IT'LL BE UP YOUR ASS 6 FOOT UNDER. ALSO THAT TWAT WHO WROTE SUMFING AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE CAN FUCK OFF BAK TO READING, JUST CUZ HE/SHE AINT ARD ENUF FOR PLYMOUTH........ MOANING ABOUT THE DRIVING!!! HA HA
- After reading some of the information on this site, I would have to say that half of you are walking around with you heads up your arses. Plymouth is the biggest shithole I have ever had the misfortune to end up in and I am trying desperatly to get as far away from here as possible. Never to return. The people are not warm and freindly I have lived here for a year now and I am lucky if my neighbours make eyecontact.People from Plymouth are weirdos who have never been taught how to drive. I feel safer driving round Reading than I do here. Perhaps I should start up a school of motoring I would make a fortune!!!
- There are two murals at Plymouth Pavilions, painted by Jan Johnson in 1996 and 1997. Around the Swimming Pool, over 200 ft , on a "Tropical" theme, and the other in the ice rink depicting Swiss alps. Not advertised much, the Tropical Mural can be seen from the above without entering the Pool. There is another by the same artist at HMS Raleigh in Cornwall, around a 100ft stairwell, in Trafgalley, on the subject of the history of the Royal Navy. Included are portraits of Pepys, Nelson and others and a painting of HMS Victory. The mural is Trompe Loeil Style. Can be seen on open days or ask permission.
- Dry Ski slope ideal for Snowboard/Ski lessons...
