- Jazz vocalist Geraldine Colvin performs her Dinner Jazz and amercian standards cabaret style show every Friday evening at the Smithy's bistro, Front Street, Ponteland
- July 2003 to December 2003 The Smithy Bistro has a series of Cabaret entertainment nights most fridays from 8pm with vocalist Geraldine Colvin - Performing standards from the likes of Frank Sinatra, Dinah Washington, Ella fitzgerald through to more contempoary classics - There is also a special menu for the nights costing approx £18.99
- The New Rendezvous, Broadway, Cantonese (expensive but nice, I've been told)
Cafe 21, Broadway, upmarket bistro (same ownership as 21 Queen Street, newcastle)
Sammy's, Merton Shops, fish & chips and amazing pizzas (cheap as well)
Princess Garden,opposite Safeways car park, upstairs, Chinese, small & cosy
Sampan, opposite Safeways car park, downstairs, not sure
Ponteland Tandoori, Main Street (purple sign, can't miss it), Indian
Chinese take-away, Merton shops, perfect for after-the-pub nourishment.

- cafe21 @ broadway quite expensive but nice
- English, Italian, Chinese, Indian restaurants available. Bar food also available in all the Pubs.
- there is one of the best bistro's in the North East in Ponteland at the Smithy and you try to get booked in there on a Saturday night!
- The food in the seven stars pub iss now worth a mention. New management.
- Two Indians, one and a half Chinese, two pizzerias and a passing fish 'n' chip van (which is also internationally famous).
