Art deco, contemporary, futuristic, tall, short...

You can tell us more about Poole.

Favourite Building
  • With reference to the fee stated for the design and making of the D day ceramic mural made by Poole Pottery to my knowledge was £6000 not £12000, the design and making of the brass Cockle Trail and an information stand for the Cockle Trail was £12000. Irene Reeve designer of the D day mural and the Poole Cockle Trail
  • Used to be the Power station at Hamworty.
  • Poole Hospital - Orphopedic ward !! Thankfully 1 of the best in the country , Xcelent for replacing those brittal bones with indistructable metal bits. Not for the squeemish , or those who don't think the sport's worth the pain....
  • The Crown Hotel in Market Street, VERY haunted and some great stories to hear.
  • my house, the quey, the 1930s schools, swan lake cafe and gus gorilas (good memorys)
  • the little white building that has been a kwickfit or somethin like that used to be the original 1930's hants and dorset bus garage, they took down the modern sign a few years back to change the flourescent beack lighting...and revealed 'Hants & Dorset Motor services Limited'....probably demolished now
  • blockbuster great for a night in westbourne
  • Barclays Building - you can control the world from the top..... so says the rumour
  • Would be Poole Power Station if not demolished.
  • Any of the Old Poole Buildings.
  • Gents Toilet.Only because it has a ceramic mural on the outside wall which commemerated the 50th anniversary of D Day causing such a rumpus in Poole because it cost 12000.What price art anyway?
  • The quay - superb.
  • Barclay's Bank building. A huge concrete thingy.
  • The Old customs house.
