hiya, i know this is a long shot, and i do expect some funny replies :-) . Does anyone fancy swapping a 3 bed housing Association home with someone from peterborough? we currently live in peterborough and we are desperate to get back to PT. ive filled in all housing forms etc but i just thought id give this a shot.     Amazing! I wander off on a casual surf and find myself on a chat-board about Port Talbo, with a Post asking about Glanafan people! :)

    Anyway, living in London now (tho' parents still in PT) and lived in a lot of places since PT days. Left in '81, when I finished 'A' levels (at Glanafan)- 'tried' not to look back but, since then have spent the odd few months kicking about.

    Well I guess I'm old enough to remember the Walnut - but I don't think i was ever old enough to drink there before they knocked it down! I think it is under the shopping centre now. I also remember the Afan Vale, and Bryns - I did use to frequent those 2!! They were all in the same vicinity. God I feel (am) ancient!     Hi,I remember the Walnut Tree Hotel,my sister held her wedding reception there 45 years ago.
    It was a posh place then,untill it was pulled down.I also remember The Welcome to Town Pub
    The Angel,The Royal Exchange,The Red Lion,

I finished school at St. Josephs in 1994, after a totally mispent youth (behind the barn, the old police houses, nutty mary, drugs sex and gambling). Enjoyed it and miss the place since moving away. Havent got far away though, but generally dont see the old school people anymore.

    Welsh teacher, you taught me until third year of school, wondering if you remember me. Think you might, I certainly remember you (although not sure why).     Do you remember me, Andrew 'Walt' Thomas? We were in the same era as Mark Haines, Shawn Whelan and Mickey 'gunge' Edwards. I was in form 6Y, same as youself! It was Mrs Hughes' class.And! I certainly remember Michael Hunt the geog. teacher, he used to hang out with Dai Condon and Jim Delaney.

Hiya all. Signing on for the 1st time ever.
Brand new to all this but it would be great to contact anyone who comes from, or still lives in
PT. Im still on the estate but originally a true
blue Fairfield girl. Went to Glanafan in late 60's
