The Incredible Tractors were the underground dudes who introduced the Talking Heads song Psycho Killer to the town ... there's rumours that they still play on a blue moon ... more recently The Stanley Band have a trippy indie sound. Also The Wizards of Mass Distraction (WMD) have played a few cool electro gigs (a duo of guitar and techno gear) - good for the dancing shoes!
