- Pirates retreat on the front, run by Dale Austin, a decent cup of coffee in the village, its true.
- The Harbour Cafe serves the best food in the village - and it's cheap! The crab cakes are to die for!
- The one by the car park. Pop in there in the rain in your wetsuit for a cuppa the locals think your mad. But then I'm a local so maybe i am.
- The cafe/restaurant next to the supermarket in Portreath (sorry, I can't remember its name) is brilliant. The food is cheap and fantastic - the crab cakes are to die for! Add the friendly service and pleasant suuoundings - they've got it all!
- The Retreat liscnesed restaurant and take away (formally The Pirates Retreat) was taken over at the end of 2003. The new owners have given it a copmplete fac lift. The cafe is situated in the sea front car park and serves excellent food/snacks, they also have a lovely array of coffees to chose from and plenty of ice-cream! So if your down by the beach and feel a bit peckish give them a try. There are plenty of good home-cooked things to choose from including the best cookies/cakes in town!
