- PJ's Guitar Center on Highland Road. Friendly people, good range of second hand and brand new guitars and accesories.
- Courtney & Walker moved to North End last year - still the best place for advice and instruments if you aren't in a wannabe rock band!
- PJ's Guitar shops sells guitars, basses and equipment. On Highland Road.
There's another music shop down the end of Elm Grove near the One Eyed Dog.
- PJ's Guitar Centre on Highland Road in Southsea has very helpful staff and a good range of guitars & equipment.
- Just go to Kimbers in Fareham
- That one in Copnor no one knows about, except the owner and even then that's dubious as to weather they know
- PJ's guitars in eastney is a good place if you are a strummer (not the thriftyest place though)

- Ace Electrics in Havant: I would just like to comment that last time I visited there, they smoked on the premises. How would I expect the electronics to function properly?

- What ever was the person thinking,who said only sad bastards shop at Ace Electrics in Havant.He must of been on drugs they are very reasonably priced
- Navada in North End is great for P.A. Equipment and electric Musical Instruments. For more traditional things like pianos, saxophones etc. lookup Courtney and Walker.
- Nevada, London Road, North End - has most of the mainstream stuff and major brands
Street Level, Elm Grove - mainly used gear with some new - always something interesting there and good for guitar repairs.
PJ Walker, Fawcett Road - good mix of used and new guitars, amps and effects.
Boom Room, Elm Grove - mainly new drums, guitars and PA - good for PA hire.
Courteney and Walker, Elm Grove - mainly traditional instruments but very helpful.
