Looking for stepbrother 56-57 yrs old. Father's name R. Gordon Cole, stationed at Aldershot during wwll, 1943-44. Went to London on leaves and was a gunnar instructor in the Canadian Armored Corps. Returned to Canada when injured in bombings. Mother's name possibly Emma, not sure, only hope that son was told about father and given a name. Hello all! Can you help? I am trying to arrange a poem on as many Cities, Towns and Villages, in the U K as I can. Could anyone supply me with any local information, which hopefully, everyone in your City, Town or Village could immediately relate to? �As being home� Perhaps a local dance hall or cinema no longer there, a famous street where all the boys and girls would meet. A famous person p ast or present, not necessarily famous outside your Town but everyone knew of him or her. Local pubs, clubs meeting places, a street name as local place you used to play as a child, I think you get the idea. If you wish to submit your own poem I would be delighted to receive the finished article. I would love to pay for your submissions, however I cannot. If I ever manage to get these published in any form, all you will receive is my sincere thanks and the knowledge that you have contributed to a historical record.
