- Forty Foot... apparantly Peter Purvis used to live here in the big house next to the bridge (called, funnily enough... Bridge House), and also a POSH footballer used to live in the village up until a few years back (so I've been told anyway) I know... it beggars belief really, Forty Foot of all places!

- ..Dave Regis must be the most famous person ever to have lived in Ramsey....His fights, drunkenness and Jim Morrison-like behaviour have annoyed many and amused more throughout the '90's.....LONG LIVE REGGIE!!!

- That Gladys Pugh off Hi Di Hi lives somewhere local, always seems to appear to turn on Xmas lites and seems to want to sing.
- The Cromwells used to own the Abbey House which is now part of the Abbey School. And in 969 AD the Abbott of Ramsey was a National celebrity as he was one of the wealthiest men in the kingdom.
