- again.....Pink Toothbrush!
- The crown occasionally has live music as does the Pink Toothbrush though I've never been.
- Brush... and most cars cruising about throught the high street with their music on full blst from 7pm onwards!
- see above, pink toothbrush, thursday night is local band night, has had loads of famous bands in the past.....blur/depeche mode etc...

- The Pink Toothbrush (again) does sometimes book bands as well, though these days it seems to be mainly nostalgia acts and tribute bands. That said, it used to be a regular gigging home for the likes of Spiritualized, EMF, and numerous other indie rock giants in the early nineties. Depeche Mode also had a residency there in the early eighties! (It was the nearest venue to their hometown of Basildon). It could rise up again if the management get their act together, I suppose.
