- The Daws Heath American Sports Academy is well underway and should be open in early Feb next year. The Academy will allow Rayleigh's finest athletes the chance to participate in a number of sports that are usually only played across the 'pond'. The Daws Heath Dodgers (baseball) will be competing in the SE Essex Hersheys Lge 2, as from next May. Training will start in early January over at Fairview Park with specialist coaches Chip Hussey and Chad Lucock. Training is $5. The Daws Heath Diamondbacks (football) will play in the All England Miller Light Div 3, call Brett Manley, Adam Labrowski or Dante Burkett.

The team, who are known for 'total football', play their home games at Fairview Park on Sunday mornings. The team is made up from some of Rayleigh's finest athletes including, Nicey, Hawksie, Burkett, Leary, Hussey, Coxy, the Austins, Charlton, Neil Mac, Monger, Browny). - Daws Heath FC will be unleashing their two latest signings, Dan Lucock and Scott Vogl, in their pre season friendly against local rivals Fairview Rangers at Cupids (Wakering) on Sunday 7th Sep '03, KO 12.30pm. The left footed duo have been doing well in training and will be hoping to make an immeadiate impact in a side that is destined for success this season.

Daws Heath Dynamo's FC are the new up and coming team in the Sceptre League. Catch their home games at Fairview Park (bottom pitch) on a Sunday morning. They play some beautiful football, almost Brazilian at times. Local sports reporters have described soem of the play as 'total football!' The Heath are hoping for their best season ever this year..... inspired by their new strike partnership of Luke Burkett and Chris Hawkes and under the leadership of Club Manager Chris Nice.

- Theres a good little boxing club in Rayleigh which can be found on Rawreth Lane bit difficult to describe where it is but there a auto repair garage behind the back of the big house with the row of trees in front of it, if this descriptions fails to help you find it (which it probably will) theres a guy named Tony no Legs (Tony Bishop) but we all call him Tony no legs because he has wooden legs who runs it he is generally found in the Spread or the Travs pub.
