- Rik Mayall used to live in Woodrow.
- Man once made love to a pavement. thats right people, thats what put redditch on the MAP!
- apparently the actor Charles Dance was born in redditch. you can sure as hell bet he doesn't brag about THAT one.
- Rickl mayel (sp?) Out of bottom used to live round here. And go to the Abby High.
- Jon Bonham and Brian May(Queen) recorded some of his album here,oh and so did the Wonder Stuff.Rik Mayall,shafali osza(spelling?),Chris Hodgetts(ex Bac to Back British Touring Car Champion & Le Mans(3rd i think)),Dodgy and Many Many More, In Fact we cant half churn um out.

- Actor, Charles Dance was born in Redditch (October 10, 1946). Made his name with RSC and starred in hollywood movies such as 'The Last Action Hero' and 'The Golden Child'. Most recently in BBC version of 'Nicholas Nickleby'.

- John Bonham - Led Zep (Used to live in a caravan at the bottom of a garden in Enfield Rd, Hunt End, later lived in Plymouth Rd). John (Nigel!) Taylor - Duran Duran (Went to the Abbey). Nigel Clarke - Dodgy. Malc Treece - Wonderstuff. Then there was Inkberrow....Ruth England - Wish You Were Here presenter was from here. Chris 'Ace' Kefford of The Move lived there for some years too. & the band And Also The Trees were all from Inkberrow. Nobody knows em here but they were bloody enormous in France, Japan etc.

- The WonderStuff.....used to live in a squat (110 Clive Road) in late 1988-ish. They demo'd a lot of their second album (Hup) at The Workshop Studio which used to be in the basement of Millsboro House.
John Bonham of Led Zeppelin was born and raised in Hunt End.
Apparently Rik Mayall lived on Winyates somewhere at one time, certainly the Kevin Turvey programme was filmed in Redditch, in about 1982.
Dodgy's Nigel Clark lived in Headless Cross and latterly Lodge park before he became famous.
Famous bands who played Redditch; Diamond Head (Lars Ulrich of Metallica's favourite band!) played Redditch College in 1981.
Dodgy played Redditch Festival in Arrow Valley Park in 1991. So did crusty dub reactionaries Radical Dance Faction.
Deep Purple and The Stranglers both played at Redditch Utd Football Club in the 1970's.
Allegedly Elvis Costello played at Tracy's (which used to be on the top floor of the now-demolished Food Hall back in 1977.

- Apparently a couple of peeps from WonderStuff Lived here, also the Drummer from
the original line up of Black Sabbath Lived in Headless Cross (and hence the
speculation that they named it after the place cos they liked the sound of it),
and also two people from Duran Duran studied at either Abbey High or Arrow Vale.

- Dj Invisible is the most famous person in Redditch. He likes to stand to attention outside Our Price Records (left hand side) for most of the day, then afterwards he floats off to find children to play with. Dj Invisible knows where you are.
