Cheap Food in Redditch, Worcestershire*

Corner eateries, quick bites and the local chippy

You can tell us more about Redditch.

Cheap Food
  • Dont bother with Pizza Hut in lodge park very poor service, they wont let you do half and half on any deal ie £9.99 any size pizza, it would make to difference to them and wouldnt cost them anything stupid jobsworth twats Dominos is miles better.
  • Avoid Mr Pizza by the Railway station and Palamino Pizza by KFC how these havent been shut down by the health people is beyond me.
  • Farmfoods
  • Fishemans catch on Unicorn hill is a good place to eat out and they do take away and a delivery service. good fish and chips, curry, pizas and kebabs theres something for every one.
  • Maccies?
  • mc donalds in town or subway. HHHHHHMMMMMM
  • The Foxlydiate Hotel is a great place to eat/drink since Brewers Fayre took it on board earlier in 2005. Prices aren't bad and if you get too drunk and can't get a taxi home (well it is in the middle of sticks as far as a taxi driver is concerned)you could always get a room!!!!!
  • Where can I get two 10oz rump steaks, chips or wedges, a salad garnish and petis pois, cooked how I like it for 9.95? The Golden Cross, Unicorn Hill, Redditch See pubinnguide.com under Redditch pubs. If you think you have eaten better elsewhere-try us -then decide? For freshly cooked food to order we look forward to seeing you.
  • Astwood House
  • Astwood House do the best chinese
  • non existant
  • I have the misfortune of returning to redditch to see my dad every now and again. On my last visit we went for a quick pint and to get a curry from winyates centre-closed, next try-church hill, matchborough, lodge park (2 places, 1 closed, 1 serving his last 2 pies) and to top it all off, it was 10.15 on a saturday night!!!!! So chuufed I moved to derby. There are 8 eating places in one street 300 yards away, and you dont feel threatedned when you walk into the pubs either.
  • mc donalds subway kfc burger king greggs 3 cooks
  • The Akhash is the best indian ... Mr Pizza is the greatest pizza in Redditch ...
  • there is a subway cafe shop thingy and greggs errrrrrrm mcdonalds poppins (skanky)
  • There is NOWHERE to get anything resembling a decent meal in redditch. Eating in Poppins could be considered an extreme sport. There used to be a French restaurant down on Church green and the catering college had a restaurant up by the hsbc which was very good. Otherwise head out of town. Three cooks is not exactly haute cuisine. It is possible to get a reasonable curry down unicorn hill or that one at the back of the kings head
  • maccy d's , kfc. the chinki in up by top shops but dont go there alone cuz u get atact by townies with bottles , johns chippy in woodrow is the best tho!!
  • GOOD OLD FISHERMANS CATCH!
  • Steer clear of the Tardebigge. The food was awful and the most miserable bunch of staff in the whole world!!
  • pizza connection in headless cross does the best pizza especially bbq beef, and also really nice chicken kebabs with real chunks of chicken. as with all pavement dinners however it is best eaten in the dark.
  • macdonalds three of them a few good pub meals bk and kfc
  • marios pizza, good grub!
  • Caspian Pizza phone for the Hot and Spicy....
  • The Indonesian in Studley is great, and the Akash indian is one of the best curries around. Otherwise not very original - try Stratford or Brum instead.
  • The Akash is an excellent indian resteraunt, the food is sensational. The Brummie Balti is superb and a little cheaper. The Quality Hotel in Southcrest is the best eatery in the whole town, being silver service and quite gormet, but ain't cheap. That dodgy take-away opposite the bus station on Bromsgrove Road make lovely kebabs (salad and chillis sauce compulsory), but you take your life into your own hands eating there. Redditch has a great selection of Fish'n'chip shops too, which are all good, so there's no comparisons to be made realy.
  • the akash on unicorn hill is very nice. maccys obviously, I recommend the foxlidiate arms at birchfield road, great pub food, and very friendly service!!!
  • the best chinese is astwood house in astwood bank- tasty the best indian is dilshad balti and the best pizza dominoes ok its expensive but its worth it and we do not have any nice restaurants except redditch golf club but you have to be a member the food and service is 10 out of 10
  • we have not one not two but three McDonalds! Aren't we lucky?
  • travel just abit out of town and you've got some good cheap places with alot of food try the Fox or the tardibigge
  • Parks (bottom of Unicorn Hill) is a good chinese cuisine place. MatchBoroughs 'Golden Carp' chip shop is a must :)
  • Theres the famous Maccy-d's and also Burgerking, Allders have a small restaurant which does gorgeous omlettes....yum
  • Bob and Hazels is great, neither of them wear trousers behind the counter of their little hotdog cart though, so never get your burger with sauce.
  • McD's, Burger King in town, McD's Drivethrough in Oakenshaw. Lots of takeways in Unicorn Hill. A fair few along the golden mile.
  • Vast selection at Headless Cross: two pizza places, chippy, chinese and indian (which does a nice line in chicken tikka kebabs)
  • There are two good Chinese takeaways, Astwood House, along the Evesham Road in Astwood Bank, and Parks Restuarant, near the railway station in the town Centre. Up Unicorn Hill opposite the old cinema, theres a good selection of Indian restaurants. Of course Birmingham beats them all.
  • mcdonalds , chipyy, three cooks normal sort of stuff
